When you turn from your sinfulness
(true “repentance“),
and turn to Christ for His forgiveness
(“accept Christ” and His ways),
He then recreates you in that instant
and you become “born again“.

The hurting pain is soon replaced with knowing that Jesus forgives me.
Jesus calls me to repent,
turn from – turn to
…and be at rest in Him.
He has forgiven me of all my sins. All of them: past, present, future – they are all covered by His huge forgiveness plan.
He replaces shame and fretfulness with His absolute acceptance. I continually practice “putting on the new“.

Ephesians 4: verses 20-24 (Full Chapter: Ephesians 4)
20 But you did not learn Christ in this way! 21 If in fact you have [really] heard Him and have been taught by Him, just as truth is in Jesus [revealed in His life and personified in Him],
22 that, regarding your previous way of life, you put off your old self [completely discard your former nature], which is being corrupted through deceitful desires,
23 and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude],
24 and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation].
The horn you toot
“God doesn’t give a hoot about the horn you toot.
It’s His way all the way, and on That Day, what we say will be just another horn in the lamenting protest band as we see Heaven disappear forever and we go down some dark black hole to hell (if we have not truly repented).
[Matthew 8:12; Revelation 16:10; Matthew 6:23; Genesis 15:12]
He died to give us hope. He is it. Christ is our hope.”

What God asks of us in the Bible
Our unmitigated God 1 Excerpt:
You ever try to change a wild bull’s behavior out in the field? You ever try to change the size of a mountain peak, or shape a block of iron with your bare hands? You ever try to stop a hurricane in its fury – while on a ship far out in the open seas?
Not a chance. It will never happen. You cannot mitigate that behavior, that humongous size, that hardness, that fury. They have unmitigated force and strength.
God is unmitigated.
Ever thought of that? The God who put together the Bible – has unmitigated force and strength, love, mercy and grace, holiness and justice. It will never work to tell God, “Lighten up!”
Nothing mitigates this God. Absolutely nothing will ever soften, mollify or “fix” Him.

Being like Jesus
Excerpt:
What was Jesus like?
John wrote “as He is…” — that is what we are like.
We do well to ask ourselves, “How am I like Jesus?
“How am I like Jesus?
