Excerpt from: How a tare thinks
What the tare says…
I am so proud to be a tare
yes I’ve grown into a tare
running with the wheaties
in that church place close to home
fellow nonWheats say you’re just fine
don’t go fearing God like wheaties do
be who you are regardless fearless
don’t listen to the wheaties
they oppressed your childhood times
can’t have a happy childhood
they’re so tight-and-always-right
don’t cut no slack
got no space for the irritating prig
his soul so smug and so self-righteous
got no humor no delights
I’m so glad that I’m a tare
not a Jesus Only wheatie
not a rapture dreamin’ hopeless Christian
waiting for that Jesus to return
no I am so proud to be a tare
___________
The wheat reply…
Don’t be a tare
running with the wheaties
thinking you are wheat
then hearing Jesus say
depart from Me…
then forever wanting…
forever without good…
forever with no second chance…
forever lost
oh scary thought.

Have you considered
the possibility that
Jesus knows you
as a tare?
Scary thought. The scariest thought ever – a terror for the tare, actually…”running with the wheaties thinking you are wheat”. But you’re not.

How a tare thinks Excerpt: Don’t be a tare. Jesus gave us the parable of the Wheat and the Tare SiteSearch. Both are allowed to grow side-by-side in churches. At “the end” the undesirable tares (“weeds [resembling wheat]“Matthew 13:25) will be gathered and burned up. The desired wheat will be harvested for good, to be stored in the farmers barn (in God’s Kingdom). See: Matthew 3:12, and Matthew 13:24-30.

listens to us;
