Running with sin is not just murder and lusting, you know. “Running with sin” is habitually practicing anything that God defines as “sin”. How does your definition compare with His?
They seem infinite, the ways to be “practicing sin“. It’s easy to become wrapped-up in it. It’s a dirty realm. Want to get away? Paul said this about that: Don’t let it!
“12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts and passions. 13 Do not go on offering members of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness. But offer yourselves to God….”
– Verses 12-13 of Romans 6:11-14
Maybe you don’t even call your practice “sin”. That is easy to do. Maybe you have been so “into it” that you think it is right by God? Think again.
If we want to be right with God, we must get into God’s Word, and define our practice by what God thinks. You think? If I assess my ways by His ways, then I can live aright. If I am yielding to Jesus’ Ways, I can say with Jesus, “I have overcome the world.”
1 John 5:4
For everyone born of God
is victorious and overcomes the world;
and this is the victory
that has conquered
and overcome the world
—our [continuing, persistent] faith
[in Jesus the Son of God].
“Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world?” 1 John 5:5 See site search:
In Scripture we are warned not to…
compare yourselves among yourselves 2 Corinthians 10:12.
If all your friends are junkies – then being a junkie is fine by you. Right?
If you admire criminals – then being a criminal is fine by you. Right?
If you have friends who do street racing – then breaking the law is fine by you. Right?
If your friends sleep around, do one-nite-stands – then fornicating is not a sin by you. Right?
You are afraid of marriage. So you live with your lover. “Everyone is doing it.” That’s not so bad. Right?
And the comparisons go on and on and on. But what does God say about your comparisons? 2 Corinthians 10:12
“When they measure themselves
by themselves and
compare themselves
with themselves,
they lack wisdom
and behave like fools.“
Pay Attention, Jesus said…don’t be a fool
Luke 6:27
“But I say to you who hear [Me and pay attention to My words]: Love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, [make it a practice to] do good to those who hate you,
Luke 16:13
No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand devotedly by the one and despise the other.
All us Christians sin, day after day. But, little by little we are more and more faithful as He works in us. God is working. It’s quite awkward. But that is because we live in a temp world.
And Jesus continues to forgive, time after time. It never wearies Him. We do not loose our salvation when we sin after being saved. However, we are warned to “examine yourselves….”
This is no small thing…serving earthly things “instead of God”. Jesus said “you cannot….” They are mutually exclusive.
Try it and you can’t, Jesus tells us. You are “on the outs” with Me IF you are running with sin but calling it “just fine with me”. That lifestyle, that worldview — puts you in direct conflict against Jesus. Really want to be “against Jesus”? Has this been your stand?
Earth is a great proving ground. We live with God’s challenge: “Choose you this day whom ye will serve….” KJV
Joshua 24:15 LIVING BIBLE
15 But if you are unwilling to obey the Lord, then decide today whom you will obey. Will it be the gods of your ancestors beyond the Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites here in this land? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”
Excerpt from My terrors in the dark place:
How very very terrifying to think “I’m not saved?” I am so weak of heart, I cannot walk for long alone until I waver and am flooded with old fears.
What if…
- What if Jesus is not Lord and Savior of my sin drenched soul? And…
- What if I am self-deceived, a fake?
- What if I’m not all His, I’ve held-back somewhere?
- What if I died and found myself in Hell?
- What wicked way is in me that will send my soul to Hell?
- What may I have failed to see as sin, and it remains in me? I practice what the Lord condemns. I say it’s just fine, but He says not.
- I deceive myself all to Hell and I am damned.
- I’m damned all to Hell.
- What if tomorrow never comes and today I go to Judgement at His feet and He now loves me not?
- What if He puts me in a goat fold where we’re huddled fearful, in terror of this Holy, Holy God, where He tells us all, “…depart from Me— you losers, workers of wickedness, all.”

Excerpt from Forgive me oh Lord for I know I have sinned:
Forgive me Lord
for I have sinned 1
I have fallen short 2
I have not been a rock
I have snapped like a twig
I need your grace
I repent of my sin
I reject my sin
I turn away from what is wrong in your sight

Meeting up with God will be an awesome event for us who have taken-up the challenge. On the other hand…

You’ve heard of the utterly ridiculous “Safe Space” for college students? Well, Heaven is the better space: “The No Sin Place”. (It’s also the truly “Safe Space”.)
“Heaven is The No Sin Place
There in Heaven we will have:
- No more need for justification – because there: sin is a thing of the past.
- No need for forgiveness in Heaven. We have already been justified while on earth.”

I, for one, choose to obey the Lord. I want to hear Him say, “Well done….”
Matthew 25:21
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’
FOR MORE:
What is “just fine with me” may not be “fine with Me”. God has the final say about what is or is not “sin”. We need to pay attention to Him. You think?

How do I get to Heaven?…the truly “Safe Space” Excerpt: Heaven is the only place where we will be able to truthfully say, “It’s all good.” That’s because God will not be in Hell, and all goodness comes from Him, so… all goodness will be in Heaven. So where does that leave all of us unforgiven, meandering in Hell? What, in Hell, are we to do?
Jesus promised Heaven for those who follow Him. He does not include anyone else in His promise. Other religions make promises they can never keep. Their claims are hollow. But Jesus is for real.
