Use the sifting screen…or Have it your way
We humans do love to have it our way, do we not? Like McDonald’s advertises When thinking, it is so easy to neglect screening our thoughts: sifting what I think through the sifting screen of Truth in the Bible…to get on God’s side.
Like the contractors who screen obstructing rocks out of their building soil, I process my thinking – “every thought and purpose” – so I avoid unbiblical obstructive rock thoughts. I’m destroying those obstructions.
How ’bout you? Or are you caught up with so-called “sophisticated arguments”, opining all over the place in your media worlds, captured by “exalted and proud things”?
2 Corinthians 10:5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ
Taking captive to the obedience of Christ
Got little pesky verses bothering you? Consider them God’s warnings, little reminders that some things are not as they seem to you. God has the bigger picture. You think?
What’s your thought process like? Are you thinking along with The 3 classic Enemies of my soul? Thinking with Satan, cultivating purposes like the world does, playing along with the flesh? That way of thought actually “sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God” 2 Corinthians 10:5. 1
I sift myself
When I sift myself – I end up with more of Jesus, and less of Keith. I practice this habit of “Examine yourselves” – to see if I am still “in the faith”.
I sift myself to be more like Jesus, more like how He would be – in thought and pratice. Don’t want to be “outside the faith” when Jesus returns. 2
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Whatever you do
Think: What would Jesus say or do here?
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men
What do you think
* Do your thoughts come to you – as a result of knowing and believing the Bible?
* Or…are you listening to the world, obeying the flesh, being open to the Devil? As mentioned above: Enemies of our soul Don’t want that myself!
Scripture is telling us: run away, flee, aim at, pursue righteousness, submit to God, resist the Devil.
See these in one link or singly: 1 Timothy 6:11, James 4:7, 2 Timothy 2:22
_________
* 2 Timothy 2:22
Run away from youthful lusts—pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those [believers] who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
_________
* 1 Timothy 6:11 or see this in fuller context: 1 Timothy 6:8-12
But as for you, O man of God, flee from these things; aim at and pursue righteousness [true goodness, moral conformity to the character of God], godliness [the fear of God], faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness.
_________
* James 4:7
So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.
I want to be like Jesus in John 5:19, where He determined not to do anything “of His own accord”. He wanted to only do “whatever” the Father would do. Jesus wanted to live life as God the Father does.
“So Jesus answered them by saying, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself [of His own accord], unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever things the Father does, the Son [in His turn] also does in the same way.”
– John 5:19
What do you shout-out and opine about? Do your vibes reflect Jesus? Or are you directly in conflict with what God has established in His Word?
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 4 The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God,
and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, 6 being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete.
The true Christian closely follows Jesus, His Words, His Way. The Bible is the standard for Christian thought and practice. Not me. Not you. When we deviate from what Jesus taught… we opine wrongly, we live life twisted, we stray away from the faith. THAT is not “following Christ”.
Christians, “little Christs” as the word means – are to emulate Jesus, follow what He taught, actually be pleasing to God. It’s much better these days to think with God, rather than with the world around us.
Loving your neighbor as yourself, obeying the Lord, and caring for widows and orphans? Those aren’t pesky verses. They are integral in Christian thought and practice.
Pair with God daily
Scripture teaches us to join-up with Jesus our Lord – every moment of the day. Luke 10:27 How’s that going with you?
* This post title is motivated by the ChristianPost commentator of 2/26/26 who wrote-in “Absolutely! All those pesky verses dealing with widows and orphans and loving your neighbor as yourself don’t apply either.”

John Piper prompts pushback from Jack Hibbs, others over Leviticus tweet: ‘Irresponsible theology’ ‘This folly must stop’ | By Jon Brown, Christian Post Reporter
Excerpt: Pastor Jack Hibbs, who serves as senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Chino, California, clarified in a response to Piper’s post that foreigners expecting to join ancient Israel were expected to assimilate to their religion and laws.
“The foreigner who came among the children of Israel, were to be accepted in as converts, and not to be mistreated, but to be treated as brothers, even though they were immigrant foreigners. It was their faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that was the criteria,” Hibbs wrote.
Author Katy Faust, founder and president of the children’s rights nonprofit Them Before Us, echoed Hibbs by listing multiple references from the Torah that explain the foreigner and sojourner were “expected to respect and abide by the laws of Israel.”
Podcaster Allie Beth Stuckey also noted that the expectations of immigrants to Israel in the Old Testament were “far stricter regulations than what we have currently.”
“The tolerance for illegal migration in ancient Israel was zero. A sojourner had to follow laws about circumcision, food, marriage — all of them,” she said.
Leviticus 19:34 But the stranger who resides with you shall be to you like someone native-born among you; and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.

Think: What would Jesus say or do here?
Leaving Jesus…going “outside the faith” Excerpt: It absolutely amazes me when a person knows “all about Jesus”… and yet still arrives at ‘It doesn’t make sense’.
There are many of these unbelievers. This person in unbelief: denies Him, rejects Him, and stubbornly sticks to their unbeliefism so deeply. Slowly it becomes less and less possible to extract themselves from the fox hole they dug into. And… all that time the Holy Spirit was warning them. The evidences were all around them, and knowable. Sad thing.
Arguing with God…what do you shout-out and opine about? Do your vibes reflect Jesus?
Consequences of supporting evil…Are you directly in conflict with what God has established in His Word?
God’s Biggest Warnings for us today…God’s warnings —little reminders that some things are not as they seem – to you. Excerpt:
Scripture was provided to us by God over the centuries — with warnings. Those warnings? We are urged to take them seriously – take it to heart. God’s warnings were given to guide us and keep us walking in His Ways.
The Biggest Warning
What is the biggest warning God gave throughout the Old Testament? Not just sort of big, but The Biggest Warning? He was adamant about it.
It is what it is: The Bible Is God’s Word To Us…Scripture was provided to us by God over the centuries

Values Jesus taught that the world fails to understand
My every hour counts big time…every moment of the day. Luke 10:27
Living the good life – with courage and confident hope
Being 100% given-over to Jesus
Living daily with gentleness and respect
Living through our tunnel of sorrows…Deep
What knowing the Bible does for you…knowing and believing the Bible
Being tested to know for sure your faithfulness to God
Limited Thinking…When thinking
Better is thinking with God’s Word
Think like God Almighty…think with God
Know your thinking – Save your future…Think: What would Jesus say or do here?
Leviticus 19:34 But the stranger who resides with you shall be to you like someone native-born among you; and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.
That moment of IF when you choose your own thinking Excerpt: Two Paths to choose from
You see, there is a meetup down the road. Whether you like it or not, you will be meeting-up with Jesus. Meet Him now, before you die, and you will be eternally grateful. Meet Him after you die, and you will be forever regretful.
What will it be for you?
Be greatful – Be regretful.
You are responsible.
Narry a chance in hell.
The logic of “If this…then that” to explain useless faith Excerpt: …looking into 1 Corinthians 15:1-23. Explaining useless faith
In 1 Corinthians 15:verses 14-15 Paul explains what useless faith is. He does this in the context of the resurrection, saying that if Christ was not resurrected — then …several things result….
“Now brothers and sisters, let me remind you [once again] of the good news [of salvation] which I preached to you, which you welcomed and accepted and on which you stand [by faith].
2 By this faith you are saved [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose],
if….”
– Verses 1-2 of 1 Corinthians 15:1-23
If we do not think like God Almighty thinks
What happens when you do not know what the Bible says on a matter?
Words of Mere Men Are Not God’s Words
Slowly becoming less and less Excerpt: And so it is with those who reject Jesus. They continue on in unbelief, and little by little those un-noticed little things harden. Rejection embeds.
Scripture says that some rejectors of Christ will eventually go dark. They will fail themselves into an inextractable unbeliefism so deep that they just never recover. God gives them over to their sin. God eventually gives a free rein. Their slavery is absolute (verse 16 of Romans 6).
A little rebellion, here, a little hate allowed in, over there — and soon, lo and behold that “little thing” became a huge monster. They are locked-and-loaded for their chosen spot, Hell. There was a choice at one time, but that vanished at some point.
If no repentance happens, the rejector eventually dies in unbeliefism, an empty shell, a lost soul, no content to him whatsoever. Rejectors become nothing, transferring to their final designation despairing of anything good – – for God is Good, and there in that place God is not findable.
Satan’s progressively degenerate agendas…and then you build a fence around it
You plant your life so carefully and put a fence around it
Wishes and prayers Excerpt: …what difference is there between a wish and a prayer?
Wishes are directed to people: people express conscience hope for the victim’s good. In a wish we trust in… what?
Prayers are directed to God: people express to God a request for His intervention for the victim’s good. In prayer we trust in God, that He will get involved and actually answer.
If it is only God that can intervene in a particular situation, then hope placed in wishes goes-out in vain. Nothing happens for victims from wishes when only God can help.
Prayer with God? I just don’t get it
I just don’t get it. How can I actually be allowed into God’s very presence? Why would He allow me that?
It is so incomprehensible, meeting with God in prayer. I can’t grasp the magnitude of it all….

- What are you all about?
What is your life all about? What drives you? What makes you what you are, today?* If you are not born again, then, well, it does not matter any way, one way or another, what you are about – because it’s all up to you and nobody else should constrain you to one way or another. The law, yes, but other people, no. You are your own person. Well, at least you should be. Are you? Who constrains you? Who keeps you from being what you yourself want to be? And why? YOU are the maker of yourself.
* If you are following Jesus, the One sent from Father God to represent Him on earth, then of course you are constrained by the love of God, and you want to follow what Jesus taught. You became brand new inside, and life takes on a whole new dimension.
The life of Keith (this man clicking-out these words) is “a born again life”, wholly committed to following Jesus. The eternal values which God gives me in the Bible – are guiding me to be who I am, today. What I am tomorrow will be …less of me and more of Him.
My goal each day
