Do not deny your faith
Many warnings are given to us in the Bible, saying: do not deny your faith. It will get more and more difficult to stay true to Him in these End Times. We are told to follow Him and “endure to the end”. Be the one who endures and overcomes.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me].
He who believes and trusts in the Son and accepts Him [as Savior] has eternal life [that is, already possesses it];
but he who does not believe the Son and chooses to reject Him, [disobeying Him and denying Him as Savior] will not see [eternal] life, but [instead] the wrath of God hangs over him continually.”
2 Timothy 2:12
If we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He will also deny us;
Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured [to death], refusing to accept release [offered on the condition of denying their faith], so that they would be resurrected to a better life;
The basis of our salvation
Faith in the true God-Man Jesus of Nazareth – is what saves us. He warned us that many false teachers and “false christs” will lure many away from the true faith (2 Peter 2:1).
Have you been lured away? Be sure to re-examine your faith, make sure you are “in the faith”.
If you are following Jesus the man, as the NAR-type churches teach, then you are following another gospel, not the saving gospel of the New Testament. There is no salvation in any other name under heaven. None. No other can save you — except for the God-Man Jesus.
We must guard our minds and our hearts against sophisticated arguments that try to lure us away from the only saving faith – faith in Jesus alone:
2 Corinthians 10:5
“We are destroying
and every exalted and proud thing
that sets itself up against
the [true] knowledge of God,
and we are taking every thought
captive to the obedience of Christ….”
The biggest choice we all make, one way or another, is:
Am I going with God?
We are in an age of man where nobody likes to be told anything that contradicts what they already think. Paul warned about this:
2 Timothy 4:3
“For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold”
So where are you at – when it comes to Jesus? How important is it to you, this faith matter that Jesus taught about?
