What is “just fine with me” may not be “fine with Me”. God has the final say about what is or is not “sin”. We need to pay attention to Him. You think?
Good news! God declassified certain sins!?
Has God actually declassified certain sins, changing His mind? Really think so? I’d have to say, “Don’t try entering Heaven that way.” All of us will be called to account.
The So-Called Brother
The many “so-called” brothers in churches are “not of us”, merely tares looking like, wanting to be – wheat. Know the difference?
What you love more than God
What do you love a lot, really-really-a-LOT? Does it take you away from God?
The sweetest thing to grace your town bench
Is it a big deal to have some sin in my life? I was saved way back when. What difference does it make? After all, Jesus saves sinners – right?
The Holy Spirit only resides in true believers
There is a rather chilling phenomena happening right now, these days of what Jesus called “the end of this age” in which we are lucky to be living now. This phenom is: so-called Christians are not actually real, true Christians.
Caught-up with a practice God has said not to practice?
We find this in Joshua 24:15 – “Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve.” Are you choosing your practices by what God has told us in the Bible?
That moment of IF when you choose your own thinking
When you keep on blindly walking directly down the road as always, you have missed the crossroad God provided for you. Will you choose to Turn from – Turn to…Jeus? Choose wisely. Decide to follow Jesus.
Put down sinners… with compassion and love?
We are all so sinful. Incomplete. But there are many today who say sin is irrelevant. They say they are not sinning. How odd. Sinning is so common. I sin. You sin. What’s with this?
Sin is not the issue in salvation
Salvation in Christ is not essentially about sin. God does not save you because you throw away your sin, or because you are able to stop sinning. Salvation is about your yielding to Him in repentance. Big difference.
Consequences of Supporting Evil
Supporting evil actually has one consequence before God. Can you guess what it is?
Will you be turned away by Jesus?
I am so very, very concerned for you. Have you ever considered the possibility that YOU yourself will be turned-away by Jesus when you meet Him? Will Jesus say to you, “One thing you lack”, or, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me…’?
Tempting God
Paul warned the Early Church, and us, of course: Do not tempt the Lord. What does that mean?
Playing With Sin
Sinners who accept sin, who conform themselves to their flesh – in whatever form, remain under condemnation still. If you struggle with sin, that means you are not accepting of it. You are rejecting sin but finding your flesh overwhelming. Born-again followers do that. There is a difference between being a sinner – versus living in sin. All born-again believers are sinners, but they have rejected sin by turning to Christ. They have been freed by God – from condemnation.
Sin Defined
Sin is an awful thing. The word for sin in the Greek is Harmatia and means “to miss the mark”. It was taken from a military expression of trying to hit the bull’s eye but missing it. Because it is so powerful, we can become a slave to it (John 8:34). It will control us (Romans 5:12). Sin can be defined as something that is contrary to God’s nature and character. It is his opposite.
