We are given new life in Christ when we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Oh the wonder of passing from being “God-damned” to being “marvelously saved by Jesus”. We then begin growing into our natural new life in Christ. Oh how marvelous this journey! Ephesians chapter 1 lists “the natural order of things” in our spiritual dimension.
Satan had it. Israel had it. Uzziah had it. Peter warned against it. Arrogance and pride. So easy to see in others. So difficult to see in myself: pride in one’s self It seems to be one of those sins “that goes before you…” announcing itself to others (before you even arrive!). […]
Sinners who accept sin, who conform themselves to their flesh – in whatever form, remain under condemnation still. If you struggle with sin, that means you are not accepting of it. You are rejecting sin but finding your flesh overwhelming. Born-again followers do that. There is a difference between being a sinner – versus living in sin. All born-again believers are sinners, but they have rejected sin by turning to Christ. They have been freed by God – from condemnation.
Can you explain to someone else what the Bible requires for salvation? Paul wrote to make sure we know.
