Have you ever in your life “approached” God? Prayed?
God has spoken into this world through His Word, the Bible. We know God by reading and studying the Bible. We know God by way of His intervention throughout time. In recorded eyewitness events He informed us about Himself, from long ago. He informs us as we read it, and as the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin.
The evidences for God are undeniable to any who honestly draw near to God.
What evidences are good enough for you – to believe that Jesus was God, sent to earth to die for us so that God would be able to justify us? The evidences are so many. All you have to do is look… and believe. – Source: The importance of evidence
God is approachable.
God is calling us to repent. Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. – Matthew 11:28.
God is the One in three entities: the divine Trinity, totally outside our realm of understanding.
We see God… as we see the wind, as we obey the laws of electricity, as we see creative design in DNA, as we stand in wonder at His awesome Creation.
Jesus claimed to be God, prayed to Father God, and said the Holy Spirit (of the Trinity) would come to dwell inside us, all of us who accept Him.
All other “gods” are not His equal, nor truly any “God”. Many powers and countless angel creations of God are “out there” in other dimensions. The Apostle Paul wrote that if we have been born again – then we have no need to fear those “powers”. In Christ we have “overwhelming victory“:
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. 38 For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that
neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8: verses 37-39.
approach God with a true and sincere heart
God listens to us. He wants us to come to Him.
Hebrews 10:22-25 Amplified Bible (AMP)
22 let us approach [God]
with a true and sincere heart
in unqualified assurance of faith,
having had our hearts
sprinkled clean
from an evil conscience and
our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us seize and hold tightly
the confession of our hope
without wavering,
for He who promised is
reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word];
Faith that is honest and truely in Jesus 1 brings us into a whole new experience of life. John says,
He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’” – John 7:38
Throughout history God has had a plan to save us from His condemnation. Since we are sinful, He provided a way to forgive us through His legal system. “How” God would actually forgive us was the mystery of the ages. But finally, through Jesus – the mystery of the Gospel has been revealed.
Down through the ages, salvation by God was a mystery – until the Messiah was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23-25; Luke 1:34-35), and laid in a manger in the city of David, under a star “in the north”, just as predicted in the Old Testament by prophets of old.

Our Loving God volunteered to die on our behalf so that we could legally be forgiven – in His Holy Courts. That is amazing grace and love. But He also is a Damning God. The Savior who loved us enough to die on a cross, is also the Eternal Judge who has no tolerance for sin. Nothing at all can save you from His due sentencing – except the perfect Lamb of God.
So when it comes to your salvation by God, there is no wiggle room. No half-way measures. Don’t get it wrong! Don’t try your own thing. Don’t “add God” to your laundry list of things to do.
There is no room at all – for error – when it comes to being right with God. You are either all in, or you are all out. Are you sure you’re in? Damn sure?
If you are not “all in”, what else is more important? If you are only partly into this “Christian thing”, then where is the rest of you?
…This matter of “being saved”, “born again”, “accepting Christ as your personal Savior”, “following Jesus”… is a very, very, nothing airy thing. It is solid. Jesus said He was the only way. And Jesus said “you MUST be born again”. Nothing else will get you to heaven. Your commitment has to be solid — in God’s eyes. Jesus has to be first, #1 in your life. You must actually be following Him.- Source: No Tolerance for Error
