Extraordinary Evil Events are happening today
It is extraordinarily eerie to be reading headline news and realize that current news reports are reflecting predictions made in the Bible – predictions made centuries ago.
Extraordinary evil is happening now, as described in prophecy (Revelation 21:4) as part of the “first things” …our era.
This evil is reported fresh in the news every day. “Lawlessness is increased.”
2 Timothy 3:13
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
Matthew 24:12
“Because lawlessness is increased, the love of most people will grow cold.”
Evil will grow “worse and worse” in the End Times. (See all references or: Matthew 5:11; Matthew 7:17; Matthew 12:34; 2 Timothy 3:13.) How can one not see that!? Truly it is so. Fearfully evil dark things are here.
The Evil of Evil Players
Stand in contrast to mere humans, like a bright red rose surrounded in darkness.
Way back several thousands of years, Paul listed, in 2 Timothy 3:1-14, the evils in a coming period of “perilous times“. We can now so clearly see these evils coming to pass in our times, wreaking havoc, ruining lives, destroying others, lying, cheating, deceiving (and the list goes on and on and on).
Professing born again believers should not find themselves on this list.
You’ve got to be ready for the Rapture! Is your oil lamp full… or will He find you unworthy? But, know this: if you are there, listed, and I realize many are (and I’ve been there many times) don’t give up hope. There is always hope no matter how needy your soul.
God is still in His “full of grace and mercy” “forgiveness mode“. Although, remember: this mode is for a very short time more, now. Then “time will be no more“. Then, there will be Hell to pay. Then, someone next to you will ask you, Who In Hell Do You Think You Are?
Going To Hell?

The world’s evil players
Evil resides behind common faces.
Evil players look like anyone else. That has always surprised the hell out of me. They should somehow look ominous or filthy or something! Right? Nope. They look just like you. As they say, “Evil is as evil does.” It’s not how you look, nor what you say, but how you act, what you do – what’s streaming from deep down inside your insides.
Here they are described in excruciatingly painful detail, as the Bible tends to be very frank – all the way through it.
Verse 1 “But understand this,
that in the last days
dangerous times
[of great stress and trouble]
will come
[difficult days that will be hard to bear].
2 For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane,
3 [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good,
4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them. 6 For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate morally weak and spiritually-dwarfed women weighed down by [the burden of their] sins, easily swayed by various impulses,
7 always learning and listening to anybody who will teach them, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres [the court magicians of Egypt] opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, unqualified and worthless [as teachers] in regard to the faith. 9 But they will not get very far, for their meaningless nonsense and ignorance will become obvious to everyone, as was that of Jannes and Jambres.
10 Now you have diligently followed [my example, that is] my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, steadfastness, 11 persecutions, and sufferings—such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, but the Lord rescued me from them all!
12 Indeed, all who delight in pursuing righteousness and are determined to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be hunted and persecuted [because of their faith].
13 But evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14 But as for you, continue in the things that you have learned and of which you are convinced [holding tightly to the truths], knowing from whom you learned them,
So, what are we to do?
Hide out, keep a low profile?
If you are wanting to accept Christ
…His offer of forgiveness of all your sins,
…His offer to make you “a child of God” forever,
…His offer to welcome you into His forever Kingdom, Heaven…
then, today is the day to turn to Him. Choose Jesus, pray now to accept Him as Savior and Lord. Jesus can save your soul for all eternity. He is able to… you just have to ask.
If you profess to follow Christ but are living in sin — pray in repentance and change your ways. That’s what Jesus wants.
Be “little Christs” to those without hope.
Many must be asking “What are we to do” in the face of all this evil?” Evil is all around us, in people, in our government, in our entertainment, in our popular culture, and in our neighborhoods. Paul answers the question:
“14 But as for you,
continue in the things
that you have learned
and of which you are convinced
[holding tightly to the truths],
knowing from whom you learned them”
– 2 Timothy 3 verse 14
The hope I have within me will keep me strong. “What have I to dread?”

In our battle against sin, our only strength is “in Him”. I may think myself to be quite capable and intelligent, but when it comes to the spiritual world, I am just a dumbass lamb, totally incapable of victory against a lion.
Imagine yourself as a lamb in the scrub-brush, alone, and a hungry lion comes out from behind a boulder – right in front of you! The lamb has no defensive abilities whatsoever.
The same is true of us as believers in our fight against sin: apart from our Shepherd, the Holy Spirit and His strength… we are incapable of victory. Our only hope is to yield to His working in our life. Moment by moment – we must abide in the Spirit, full of His power in us. THEN we are invincible. But only then.
Ephesians 6:10 …be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
