Want to be wise?

Many of today’s multiple cultures lead folks into believing: I was born smart.  The majority believe they are living the better way, that they are “in the know”  ¹

In their minds they are wise, even though their ways, what they live out from day to day, shout out otherwise.

They stumble and fall, but blithefully  ²  get up and do it again, still without a clue – like the Improv Comedian, Heather McDonald, who said, “Clearly Jesus loves me the most”… and then was immediately struck down (see video).

How ’bout you? “Living smart”, your way?  Got it together?

To really get smart with how we live, the Bible shows us we need to

¹ respect God as He truly is (Proverbs 1:7),

² ask God to “set you apart” for Himself (1 Thessalonians 5:23), and

³ admit your sin (Romans 3:23), repent of your own ways – and follow Him in all things.

Don’t be ignorant of God’s truths:

True wisdom – Proverbs 1:7
“The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence];
But arrogant ^[a]fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline.

The Threefold Nature of Man – 1 Thessalonians 5:23
