I am astounded by the gullibility of the common person. Persons like myself. Nothing extraordinary. (And even by the ones who think they are uncommon, who say, “Don’t tell me how to think!“) Somehow, nowadays, anything goes.
I’m talkin’ ’bout persons claiming to be following Jesus and His Gospel. They let their delightful empty suit misrepresent Jesus, misinterpret His Word (the Bible), misdirect, and mislead. He may actually be in blue jeans and sneakers, but too many folk nowadays hear them…
…share “a word they received directly from God” — with no more excitement than if he/she reported snow and sleet for tomorrow’s Alaska winter morning.
…teach a false doctrine like “claim your healing” — and walk away not knowing what verse that falsehood comes from nor where in the Bible that can be refuted.
No apparent effort is expended by the hearer to confirm, deny, justify, or nullify anything. As the dum-bass fish (the bass) the whole bait is swallowed, hook, line, and sinker.

Scripture warns us to be discerning. Confirm “biblicacity”. That is not a real word. Did you confirm that? My new word: biblicacity (!).
We are to
confirm teachings
as biblical or unbiblical.
When your preacher/teacher/apostle/prophet shares anything, we in the pew are to confirm or refute.
Ask: Is this from the Bible? Are you kidding me?! You really think I can’t see through that teaching? What about this passage here…?
Are you blindly following someone? Or are you strong enough to question?
Wisdom discerns what is “correct” from “incorrect”, “truth” from “lies”. Anywhere/Anybody shares? We are to question.
Christians who are spiritually discerning are able to properly distinguish between true and false teaching. Those with discernment have wisdom.
Moreover, in the Bible we’re told that a true believer possesses the mind of Christ. “The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. ‘For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:15-16)

1 Corinthians 2:15-16
15 But the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Christian] judges all things [questions, examines and applies what the Holy Spirit reveals], yet is himself judged by no one [the unbeliever cannot judge and understand the believer’s spiritual nature]. 16 For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. – Source: 1 Corinthians 2:15-16
PIC: “Hey Jack. Am I gullible?”
Wake up! Your Bible predicts tomfoolery in these End Days. It may be in your church.
In these days of a weirdly erratic, changing world, I find myself quite comfortable reading from the Bible. Nothing quite like perfection to give you a calm confidence, a calm, peaceful easy feeling.
