Changing what God said
Does God need you to change what He said back in the Old Testament?
Have you changed what God started? Really want to do that? God said doing so has eternal consequences. Satan was the first to cast doubt on what God said:
Now the serpent was more crafty (subtle, skilled in deceit) than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. And [a]the serpent (Satan) said to the woman,
“Can it really be that God has said, ‘You shall not eat from [b]any tree of the garden’?”
– Genesis 3:1
Millions are doing it
It’s not just a few. Today millions around the world – with over 3 million in the USA alone, are NAR type Charismatic believers. And they, with their false teachings, are multiplying fast. 1
Cultists follow aberrant teachings of their new era apostles, prophets and teachers. They have left the Gospel of Jesus by changing what He started back in Genesis.
New apostolic beliefs
have taken hold of their faith.
God is extreme to the nth. His Way is One Way. Jesus even told one inquirer, “One thing you lack“. If you “lack” anything not covered by His grace, you lack what it takes to get to Heaven.
He is that exacting. Don’t fool yourself. The Kingdom of God is very exclusive, very luxurious, very special

Leaving it
No matter who you are, IF you change what God started in the Old Testament – then you have started another gospel, and you therefore no longer follow the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. The stark reality is… you left it.
“none of them
are of us”
– 1 John 2:19
Do you know the difference? His vs Another. The NAR type doctrines are not the doctrines of Jesus and His disciples who wrote the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, and James. 2
Changing what God started
That is what Joseph Smith did to create the Mormon deviation, and what Charles Taze Russell did to create the Jehovah Witnesses deviation in the 1870’s (called JWs), and what Ellen G. White did with Seventh Day Adventists, and…. so on and so forth.
What are the ramifications of changing something? It’s like:
- If I start out with 100% cows milk, and then add chocolate to it, I then no longer have 100% milk! Simple, right? I have a totally different drink, which we call by a different name: chocolate milk. It is not milk any more! It is chocolate milk.

- If I start out with 100% Hydrogen, and then add oxygen and more Hydrogen, then I no longer have 100% Hydrogen – do I? I have a totally different element. I have changed the equation. I have left plain hydrogen, and now have “another element”, which we know as H2O. It is now called “Water”… something totally distinct from plain old Hydrogen.
Different make-up. Different element.
False teachers like NAR type leaders continue to use the name “Christian” even though they have become “a different element”. They do this because they are deceivers.
These false teaching deceivers want all the comfortableness of Jesus’ familiar teachings, without adherence to Jesus’ awkward specificities. They enter congregations like wolves in sheep’s clothing, and lure flocks away to their very different fold.
They
do not follow Jesus.
They
follow apostates
– lost
in their rebellion.
“The sheep
that are My own
hear My voice and
listen to Me;
I know them, and
they follow Me.”
– John 10:27
Goats and Sheep…different destinies
NAR type flocks are not the sheep of Jesus. They are not “the sheep of my pastures” (Psalm 23; John 10:27). They are actually goats, “another creature” with “ another gospel”, as distinct as H is from H20.
And Jesus warned that goats will be separated out from amongst the sheep at Judgement Day. They will be led to a place across the great divide where all hypocrites, charlatans and apostates will abide forever.
The judgement of the Great Judge will be a very painful reckoning for all who choose to follow their own pet doctrines and preferences… instead of being loyal and faithful followers of Jesus – of what He started.

Tolerating It
I hope you do your own reckoning before Jesus has to to do it for you on That Day. Look into it before it’s too late. It’s your choice now. Later… not at all. All that is not in alignment with what God has set forth will be “discovered for what they really are—temporary creations.” See: 2 Peter 3:8-18. 3
2 Corinthians 11:2-4
…3 But I am afraid that, even as the serpent beguiled Eve by his cunning, your minds may be corrupted and led away from the simplicity of [your sincere and] pure devotion to Christ.
4 For [you seem willing to allow it] if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted. You tolerate all this beautifully [welcoming the deception].
God has a design for earth and all of mankind
The excerpt introduction to the article, The Mystery of the Gospel has been revealed, points out that God created us with a specific plan in mind:
According to His own design for earth, God revealed His salvation for mankind at a time of His choosing. As Isaiah 37:26 records, and as with all events that He chooses to control, God says:
“I planned it.
Now I have
brought it to pass”
– Isaiah 37:26
Salvation in Christ
was revealed
when the Messiah
was born of a virgin
(Isaiah 7:14).

This “mystery of salvation” is tied-in with all God has planned for us. His sheep are “His followers” — those who take His lead and faithfully go with what He says.
But we all have the option to not cooperate. Isn’t that amazing? The most powerful entity ever, THE God Most High, gives us free will to choose or reject Him. What will it be for you? My prayer is that you will reject the counterfeits and stay true.
How much is Heaven worth to you?
We have the freedom to choose to change our eternity – to one side of it, or another. To what side of the Great Divide will you choose to live in?
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching
[but diminishes or adds to the doctrine of Christ],
do not receive or welcome him into your house,
and do not give him a greeting or any encouragement….
– 2 John 1:10

- BibleGateway Footnote “a”: Isaiah 7:14 This prophecy of the virgin is declared in Matt 1:22, 23 to be fulfilled in the birth of Jesus. There has been a great deal of discussion over the Hebrew word found here for virgin (almah) and the word that Matthew uses (parthenos). The latter refers unambiguously to a virgin, while the former (almah) has been said to refer to a young woman, in contrast to the Hebrew word bethulah, which is the equivalent of the Gr parthenos. It has also been noted that the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Hebrew OT, has parthenos here for almah, and that Matt 1:23 is taken from the Septuagint. Some have wondered why the Septuagint translators used the more specific word parthenos. It is fair to say that this question is the result of oversimplifying the vocabulary and misinterpreting the distinctions. The Hebrew words almah and bethulah can actually refer to the same kind of woman; almah is a youthful woman of marriageable age, one who has not yet had her first child, while bethulah is one who has not been touched in an intimate way. Furthermore, in the present context it would be unthinkable to infer that the woman might have had sexual relations outside of marriage. So the well-known translation of “young woman” for almah, while technically not incorrect, can be viewed as too ambiguous for the Hebrew word and the context. Parthenos was an appropriate choice in the Greek. Another word, kore (for “girl”) could have been used, but it has a wider range of meaning than the Heb almah (Mark uses a related word, korasion, to translate Jesus’ Aramaic word talitha). It should also be acknowledged from a theological perspective that when Matthew cites the verse with parthenos, he thereby authenticates it as inspired.
