Salvation was a mystery
Back in the day, in Old Testament days, the children of Israel offered animal sacrifices to God for the forgiveness of sins. They sacrificed again and again – because they sinned again and again, repeatedly, continually.
They did not know it, but their Judaic system was based on what would later be fulfilled by Jesus the Messiah. Salvation was a mystery. Later Jesus would be the “once for all” sacrifice, the perfect lamb of God “who takes away the sin of the world!”.
John 1:29
The next day he [John the Baptist]
saw Jesus coming to him and said,
“Look! The Lamb of God
who takes away the sin of the world!
The Wonder of the Birth of God
The mystery of salvation was resolved in Jesus the Messiah. With Him, no longer were many sacrifices necessary. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice. All peoples could receive the forgiveness of God for their sins “once for all” (Hebrews 10:10).
Have you been “washed in the blood of the Lamb” – through the death and resurrection of Jesus? Have you been saved?
“Whosoever will may come”
Salvation is easy because Jesus took our pain. He took away the wrath of God on sin. He took away our condemnation. Jesus came down to earth as a man in order to pay the price of sin in God’s system of justice.
God asks us to repent and turn from sinning. Where are you at with this?
Whosoever
Jesus said, “Whosoever will – may come”.
See all in one link or: Revelation 22:17, Matthew 7:24, Matthew 10:32-33, Matthew 16:25, Mark 8:34-35, James 4:4.
“And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” – Mark 8:34
Have you started your spiritual journey to eternal life? Life is short, so make sure you settle things with God before you’re done and gone. The opportunity fades, and little by little choosing Jesus becomes less and less possible. Then your heart may harden, and tomorrow never arrives for you.

Vile to Jesus Excerpt: God allows us total freedom to do whatever the hell we want. We love to be freeeeee! That tends to give us such a sense of “yippeeee!” that, as a consequence… our life can kind of get out of control.
In the grip of our “yippeeee” lifestyle, we forget God and His ways. It’s just too much fun, we think. And it is true, we can do anything possible, but, as Jesus taught, there will be a day of reckoning. We have total freedom here on earth, but there are consequences. God does have standards.
Don’t let it – Romans 6:12. Excerpt: I can choose to sin, but I don’t have to because Jesus has freed me from my former enslavement to sin. I am a brand new creature through the work of God in me.
Any born again believer can choose to sin. That is why Paul wrote Romans 6:12. Paul is exhorting us to pay attention to what we do in life, and be watchful to NOT sin. He is saying: Don’t let it!
