Are you “pursuing spiritual perfection”? Or: Are you deep in the miry clay, still, lost in your sinfulness? Want to get out? Turn. Get yourself to Jesus through sincere and truthful prayer. Christians do not have to sin. You once turned – to it. And so it is a choice also to turn from it, from what has ensnared you – and turn to Jesus in repentance. It’s a choice: be faithful once again, or stumble like a drunk, eat vomit like a dog, wallow like a pig.
Fickle Piccadillies
Does your moral mind bend and accept tiny “small sins” throughout your day? I’ve found that to be true at times.
This is forgiveness
The forgiveness Jesus offers us is the most costly element in the entire universe. God, the most highly Awesome One, , lowered Himself in the form of the God-man Jesus to become one of us, a puny human – in order to make His forgiveness possible. With that special forgiveness we are granted entrance into His Kingdom. What a plan of the ages!
“Those who are people of faith”
Do you claim to be “a person of faith”? There are many types out there! What faith do you claim as yours? Is your faith type following Jesus and what He taught? Is it truly yours? What makes you think that your type of “faith” is acceptable by Jesus? It’s certainly worth testing it. Eternally worth it!
How a Christian lives life
By God – I’ve been given this body, this life, this existence on earth. How indebted I am for all that! And now I have been born again – “I’ve turned over a new leaf“. I am exponentially, eternally grateful to God for that! Oh my God Jesus thank you! Baby Steps It is […]
The Inclusive Yet Exclusive Salvation of Jesus
Did you know that God limited His grace towards us, His fallen creation? Salvation, in that sense, is not free. It will cost you – all of you. The salvation of Jesus is both inclusive and exclusive. Find out how that works.
What God secures – You cannot “lose”
We are not saved after all these years – because we clung desperately to Him. No. It is because He holds us firmly in His Hands. “I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved….”
Claiming a sin as – God’s will for you
Nowadays we have way too many professing “Christians” who are confusing compassion and love for others with God’s marvelous grace. Many are now exchanging His grace for inclusivity. They claim that God will accept certain sinners – in their sin – because they are exceptionally loving and kind. Is that biblical? Will God accept you because you are exceptionally loving?
Promises God makes about your salvation
God made some huge promises. Absolutely beyond huge. Eternally huge promises. Salvation is His biggest. Do you have that one secured?
Forgiveness for evil deeds done
Time and tide are relentless. So are the many relentless Old Testament prophecies happening right now – but not in the way most thought they would be fulfilled. Are you ready for “the end” that Jesus spoke of? Take Jesus’ Challenge.
Will you be turned away by Jesus?
I am so very, very concerned for you. Have you ever considered the possibility that YOU yourself will be turned-away by Jesus when you meet Him? Will Jesus say to you, “One thing you lack”, or, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me…’?
Doing one act of love at a time
Every breathing moment is a new moment to choose to be loving to others – or not. I do not have to be what I was in the past. I don’t have to be what I was this morning! I can choose to confess and repent — and be loving now. I’m developing habits of love!
Know that you know you know
Sometimes a believer may wonder: “Am I really truly saved?” The Bible says we can know we are. What does the Bible say about our salvation in Christ? Are you sure you are saved?
Forever forgiving – for God’s sake!
Is malice perpetually active in your heart, in your mind and in what you do and say every day… bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding, slander, all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence? (Ephesians 4:31-32)
God forgives all wrongdoings of all repentant sinners, no exception
I’m still a workin’ more on being more consistently kind, more helpful, more tender-hearted, more forgiving. How ’bout you?
Keeping a good conscience
We can learn a lot from the Bible about our “conscience”. We all start life with one. How’s yours doing?
Judgement of God
The judgement of God is a sure thing – guaranteed by God Himself. God also guarantees eternal freedom from judgement to all that turn to Him. That is why Jesus came to earth. Jesus came to save us all. Are you ready to meet your Maker?
Turning away from God
Sinning is easy. Repenting? Not so much. But God “will not be willing to forgive him” after earth time is done. Are you turning away from God? Or, have you been born again?
I am not the sum of all my sins
I am a child of the King – not the sum of all my sins.
Degrees of Sin
Ever try to convince your mind that your behavior is not really all that bad?
Making my face smile
Smile. It affects others.
Biggest prophecy of all time
What was the biggest prophecy of all time? Think about it. It is so very clear to see.
The message of salvation spoken by Jesus to Paul
Jesus spoke this to Paul on the road to Damascus – one short verse that explains the Gospel of salvation in Jesus, in Acts 26:18.
About Sin
Key truths about sin as taught in the Bible. What is sin, and what is God’s stance about it?
Seeing change in your heart
Are you ready to meet Jesus face-to-face on that day? Are you seeing change in your heart – since you “became a Christian”? We absolutely will see change towards godliness in our life… when the Holy Spirit enters into us. If you’re not seeing change towards Him, perhaps you never turned towards Him. Perhaps you never got saved, ever. But it’s not too late.
Small gods, and our great big beautiful God
Is your “god” too small? Does “he” leave you fearful about your eternity? What kind of god have you chosen? Were you ever truly born again – back when you supposedly “accepted Christ”?
My Sparkling Clean Soul
A “soul” is invisible, of course, so nobody can actually “see” one. But the Bible tells me we all have one. My soul is inside my insides, deep within my being. That is where I run my life, sort of my command center. And I “see” my soul sparkly clean when I confess my sins and Jesus washes me thoroughly.
I stomped the mud puddle
It was not so nasty a word.
We know what Jesus believes. Do you agree with Him?
It was quite the mystery of the universe. Sin had destroyed the lovely Garden of Eden relationship Adam and Eve had with Creator God. So God established a “covenant of forgiveness”, a system of sacrifice whereby His followers could be forgiven.
But it was obvious that we on earth could not go on for all of eternity sacrificing lambs for the forgiveness of sins. What did God have in the works? It remained a mystery for centuries. And then, finally, according to His perfect timing, He revealed the answer.
We overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us
All our life we will feel the pains of this world. That is a reality. After all, we are still human. The difference is: we have hope in Christ…way before He implemented Creation – His plan was always to “redeem” us back to Himself, to bring us to His salvation, to give us His strength and encouragement in this life
As we are raised up we will be given an “incorruptible” (everlasting) new body, like Christ’s resurrected body. Christ was the first, and we are next
