Getting ready for Heaven takes just a short minute of your time. But that minute saves you an eternity of bad minutes.
What I rather prefer
What’s next for us here on earth? We can’t say for sure. But we do know a few details from Scripture. And I can say what I’d rather prefer.
My terrors in the dark place
Sometimes I live in terror of the dark place. The horror of rejection by my God. I waver and am flooded with old fears. What if Jesus is not Lord and Savior of my sin drenched soul? Where is that safe sweet spot?
“Through dark hallways” Toby Keith was leaning on his faith
Struggling with cancer, Mr. Country Music – Toby Keith, said his faith sustained him. Who will you turn to? Jesus is my faith. How about you?
You don’t always get what you want
Five Christians missionaries were speared to death in the jungles of Ecuador – on January 8, 1956. Dave Hunt writes about it here. His best friend Ed was one of them.
That moment of death
There is a place
where turning back’s a choice no longer
Hell is waiting but Jesus calls
What will it be for you?
Say you Heaven or say you Hell
As dead as a doornail
We will never ever be “as dead as a doornail”. You’ve heard the expression?
Abortion blessings?
Why do so many forget about giving civil rights to children in the womb? They are just as human as you are, as I am.
After that moment of passing
What happens after that moment of passing, where time will be no more? Figuratively speaking, we will be either sheep or goats, and Jesus Himself will separate the two.
Passing on through to the other side
When you pass away, you pass through a doorway, sort of, and — whoops, there you are, ready or not… kneeling before God. You have reached your final destination — a timeless realm prepared by God. Ready for that?
Significance – what Jesus gives us
Life is short. We are “like the morning mist, and like the dew that passes away early, like the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing floor, and like the smoke out of the chimney” (Hosea 13:3). Only Jesus changes that. Jesus makes us eternally significant.
Oh haunting fear of death – be gone
Are you fearful of death? What does the Bible tell us about it?
Those who kill the body
“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have nothing more that they can do.” Rather, “fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority and power to hurl [you] into hell.” Yes I can – I can stand strong.
He’s got this
Whatever it is that you’ve got troubling you, “He’s got this!” When I find myself in times of trouble, I turn to Jesus.
Judgement of God
The judgement of God is a sure thing – guaranteed by God Himself. God also guarantees eternal freedom from judgement to all that turn to Him. That is why Jesus came to earth. Jesus came to save us all. Are you ready to meet your Maker?
Today is your last day – and Hell is home tonight
The following scenario is only broadway theater. But the story is true for some tonight. You die tonite, at one minute to midnite. And… you’ve said no to Jesus.
The Absolutely Scintillating Resurrection-Rapture Moment
Christ is coming back – and all biblical indications shout-out: He is coming soon! He promised He would return. So… what happens, specifically, in that breakout moment when Christ returns?
God wants us all to be saved
We are natural born sinners on a road away from God. You can stay on it, and end up far, far away. But God wants all to be saved. John 3:16.
What man can live and not see death? – Psalm 89:48
“What man can live and not see death?” (Psalm 89:48) Death is quite the non-respecter of peoples. We die. That’s it, for earth time. Done. Finito. But there is One who has had victory over death.
I fear no evil
I fear no evil because “Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death [a valley of deep darkness]… You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me. – Psalm 23:4
Why we fear
Fear breaks the dams in my gut. Ever felt fear – like vise grips tightened over your heart? Felt red raw fear? Solutions are not “Automated Jesus Answers”. Each fear I have, I have to deal with — each time. I deal with them, anew. The Lord is with me at all times, so, really: What have I to fear? What have I to dread? Philippians 4:4-7.
Two roads to die for
Life is full of choices. You know? The biggest choice we all make, one way or another, is: Are you going with God?
Maintain yourself faithful – out of loyalty to Christ
If we face death because of our faith in Christ, we can be confident knowing that He is with us all the way. He alone is our hope. “Fear not.” At the moment of our death – we put on Immortality.
Living through our tunnel of sorrows
Be it – bearing the effects of our sin, or experiencing personal tragedy, or being racked by the numbing sorrow of death in the family – we can overcome.

Feeling insignificant?
It’s all so senseless looking, worthless, waste – and yet there is one ray of light, a hope for now, today, tomorrow
Death was just a doorway
How will you behold the face of God? Will it be with confidence in righteousness, or in terror because of sin?
I am dying
I am dying. And so are you. We’re all under the curse of The Fall, where God cursed the earth and all His creation, because of sin. Sin started back where a man and a woman (Adam and Eve) decided, by their own free will, to contradict God’s word to them, and do what God […]
Death and Dying
As a follower of Christ… I am not afraid of death. I am not afraid of dying. My faith is in Christ. But the terrors of death are real (Psalm 23:4).
Our Dying and Death
The Bible tells us that God determines the number of our days. When it is His time, He takes us home. Our death date is already known by God.
