Do you know why you believe what you believe? Do you know what is the basis for your beliefs about God? When I was a child, I had all kinds of “beliefs”. Much of what I “thought” — turned-out to be make-believe. Ephemeral. Like mist. Much of what people think – is so baseless, without […]
Cognitive Dissonance
Many believe in the historic general Napoleon, because of historical records — but confronted with even more and greater historical evidences, do not believe in the historic Jesus, God come down to earth as a man. What cognitive dissonance… that extreme feeling of discomfort some folks get when their core belief is challenged or contradicted.
Limited Thinking
So, you are thinking? That’s a good thing! And those thoughts are – what? They are your thoughts? Have you been able to get past your own thinking – and think with God and His expressed thoughts? What experience do you have in the universe, to be a foundation for your thoughts – by you, yourself? On what do you build your thoughts? Is it only from you and others like you? Do you live your own way?
Actually act on what you know
Do you “prefer the plain meaning to the obscurantist theology of unbelief”? Do you “call forth what’s [yours] in Christ without double-mindedness”? (Andrée Seu Peterson) “…act upon the knowledge of faith….” – Francis Schaeffer.
Was Graham right -or- Hawking?
Who was correct? Graham -or- Hawking? Billy said “I’ll be in heaven in the future life”, whereas Hawking postulated there is no afterlife, saying heaven “is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.” “One thing’s for sure: Both of these men now know the truth of what happens after death.” – Robin O’Hare […]
What God Did for Man
Have you ever wondered how it all got started – the universe, the earth, nature, animals, you and your “like”, mankind? Any belief system has to start with: the start. What is it!? What happened to get all-that-is …into existence? The most logical explanation is that a very creative entity started it all. Think about it.
I have faith
I have faith. What kind of faith do you have?
Tomorrow
Tomorrow is the fool’s day. Tomorrow may never come. This may be it. Today I choose Him, whatever comes.
What Matters
What you say you believe, will someday be examined by God Himself – in His Court. It will reveal itself by what you actually have done. We are not saved by what we do, but the sincerity of our heart is revealed to God by what we do.
Irrational Beliefs
Is yours an irrational faith not at all supported by evidences? Or do you have a firm, rational faith in Jesus the Godman, supplied with proofs and amazing evidences?
Who We Are
Who we are matters. What we say we believe, matters less. “…are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?” (James 2:20-26)
I am sorry for your loss, Tom
Just wanted to express my condolences. I am so sorry for the recent loss of your wife, Tom. Jesus Christ assures me that when I leave this earth, I am instantly in the presence of God, at peace, with joy everlasting.
Be a little more Christian
It seems so few know what the Bible really says about “being a Christian”. A Christian is not a name you yourself can define however you want. There is no meaning at all if anything can be whatever you want it to be. Funny one should call himself “Christian”, but say it does not matter what you believe! How rational is that? Do you know how the Bible defines “Christian”?
Are you in, or, are you out?
You are either in, or you are out. Scripture puts it this way: you are either of “those who are perishing”, or you are one of those “who are being saved”.

Faith and Works
Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), but faith is incomplete without works. It is true: faith alone is the requirement for salvation. But faith without works is dead. Works alone cannot save (Ephesians 2:8-9). Turn to Jesus with all that you are, all that you do.
