God is not choosy about who He forgives. Jesus said “Whosoever will may come“. The Truth is: Any sinner can come to Him for forgiveness. But Scripture does also tell us: God is specific about how He forgives.
How do you forgive others? If God forgave -like some folks do- then we would all remain God damned forever… not saved, still lost, without hope. And church folk would ALL be God Damned “Believers” (not just the fake tare).
I listened to a spiritual leader who is doing good things with bad people, apparently a very loving and giving man. But he expressed, in passing, that President Trump is worthy of compassion – but not worthy of being president. I assume he would claim Kamala is worthy?
Apparently this spiritual leader is choosy about both the who and the how He forgives.
Lack of forgiveness
That is actually an expression of a total lack of forgiveness. This spiritual man claims to be forgiving, but his is a limited forgiveness. He has compassion, but compassion is different from forgiveness.
“Never Trumpers” – like this religious leader, had basically two choices in 2024:
(1) An unworthy sin-filled woman (Kamala) who supported and stood for all the evils “the Dems of today”, the New Left, promulgate;
and the other choice was:
(2) An unworthy sin-filled man (Trump) who stood firmly against the evils of the New Left.
You had to be forgiving – in order to vote for either one of those candidates in 2024. Those two were, and are still today, very much not super examples of “being Christian“. But, neither are any of us “good”! Romans 3:12
And THAT was our only real political choice that year: Trump or Kamala. So what was it going to be? How did you vote it?
Only one choice
In the real spiritual life there is also only one choice to make:
Chose to remain unforgiven by Jesus
-or-
Choose to yeild to Jesus and receive His eternal forgiveness.
That’s all we got folks. Two options.
How you voted
So how do you vote in that political set of givens? I voted for the presidential candidate who stood firmly against the evils. It was never a matter of “how Christian” he or she was. I had to forgive him for his past. But, Trump was the most worthy choice.
Why the “most worthy”? Because as a follower of Jesus, I stand for what Scripture supports and defends. We all should. It is His standards that guide all my life choices.
And with that Republican vote I voted: against the presidential candidate who unashamedly wanted the evils… the killing of as-yet-unborn defenseless babies, standing-down in the face of evil dictatorships, making our army weak, forcing unstable vaccines on all of us, taking away our rights – like to bear arms, to parent our own children. They even wanted to help deviant children change their gender! Children no less!
So,
Did God forgive you?
Or did God treat you
the same way
you refuse to forgive
peculiar types of sinners?
Are there some sinner types you just can’t get up the gumption to forgive? MerWeb: “gumption” – the kind of courage or get-up-and-go that makes undertaking difficult things possible. That pesky neighbor? That really really bad person? “That guy who hurt me years ago?”
1 John 3:14
We know

You do know, righ? Hating is life changing – eternal life changing! Your hate makes Eternity your Hell. Scary thought.
Maybe you gossip and slander them? Maybe you are too peculiar yourself, you think?!
We are the odd creature – are we not? The Bible makes it clear that God is not prejudiced against any types. He loved…the world.
John 3:14-18
…16 “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] [a]only begotten Son….
All us repentant sinners may receive His forgiveness – no matter your peculiarities. Hallelujah for that!

All of us like sheep have gone astray,
We have turned, each one, to his own way;
But the Lord has caused the wickedness of us all [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]
To fall on Him [instead of us].
– Isaiah 53:6
Being God Damned…forever
Earn your wages of death -or- Freely receive God’s gift of eternal life
Not saved yet…still lost, without hope. And church folk would ALL be still damned

Acting Wickedly – Matthew 7:23 Excerpt: What is “acting wickedly”? The Judge of All will define what it is. Is your definition the same as His? Or do you hope to stand before Him on That Day, and rebutt Holy God? Like…

Forgiving and restoring the brother caught in a sin Excerpt: Have you been treating actual “brothers” and sisters like the world does when they catch a sinner? Scripture calls for us to “restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness” – not snub and drub MerWeb: snubbing – harshly criticize or reprimand. What?! Treat them quick and harsh? Get down and slander and gossip about them to others? Put down, slap down? A Christian who, in a moment of failure – falls… is not to be classified as “an immoral” person.

Sinners, versus living in sin Excerpt: We are all “sinners”. All of us are failing God in many ways – disobedient, time and time again. However, the born again believer does not accept sin in their life. They fight it! Though born again, changed into a new creation, they are still sinners, forgiven, yes, but still struggling against sinning.
On the other side, non-believers, sinners also, have made decisions to accept sin in their life. Whatever the sin may be (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) the “not-truly-saved” person has accepted a normalcy which reveals their true heart.
