I for one do not want to arrive in God’s Courts with filthy rags on, stinking of sin – before the God of the Universe. How ’bout you? Do you wear filthy robes – or have you been beautified with rich robes of forgiveness? God is able to take away all your past sinfulness — and place you in good standing with Him. No matter how grave your sin, no matter how long you sinned, no matter. No problem. He is able.
About Sin
Key truths about sin as taught in the Bible. What is sin, and what is God’s stance about it?
I stomped the mud puddle
It was not so nasty a word.
Tolerating evil
If you tolerate bad behavior, you in effect are condoning the bad. The Bible says here that the person who practices or permits or tolerates evil (evil = that which is not of God) cannot possibly be a true follower of Jesus.
Are you under – A Deluding Influence?
“God [b is sending] will send upon them [c an activity of error] a deluding influence….” – 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 In these perplexing, wild, and topsy-turvy 2020 days, a beginning decade, I believe we are seeing about 48%, almost 1/2, of the USA peoples living as dead men walking (“the body is […]
Pleasure and bad behaviors we love to fall for
We love simple pleasures. Don’t we? Life is good. God is good. The problem with pleasure is: Not all pleasure is of God. Jesus said we need to clean our insides – so that our outsides can then live-out worthy behavior. Pick a sin – any sin – and discern where you are at. Judge yourself all day long. Romans 12:2.
His due sentencing
Did you know that we are all due to appear before The Judge of All to receive His holy justice, His due sentencing? Sure as hell – what is due to God is “owed at a certain time”, a time of God’s choosing. And that time is upon death. Your strength of will cannot help you avoid His due sentencing. Ready?
What’s your problem?
The Good News is that God accepts anyone and everyone that truly repents and follows Him with sincerity and truth. The Bad News is: there is no way your way will get you past the pearly gates. We must go through “The Door”, Jesus!
Unrestrained sinful sinful humans
Even with the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit in us as born again believers, we humans sin and sin, and sin again. Imagine the scene after the Rapture, when un-redeemed humans will be sinning wantonly, without restraint.
God takes care of sinners
We all sin. The allurements of the enemies of our soul entrap us with sin, saying, go that way. The message of Christ says, repent, turn this way. “I am the way, the truth, and the life….” We struggle not to sin. So, what kind of sinner are you?
One Human Race
We are actually all together one race. Is anyone reading the Bible – and actually trying to follow Jesus – with love for others?
Exposing a dichotomous heart
You do not have to get sinless to get saved, but God does require a fully committed heart. A dichotomous heart is a divided heart – not sold-out to Jesus. A “this-way-that-way-two-sided-heart” cannot be saved. What kind of commitment do you have to Jesus?
Yielding your will to God
“…he [who is born again] cannot habitually [live a life characterized by] sin, because he is born of God and longs to please Him.” –1 John 3:9 You can’t get much clearer than that: “cannot”. Too many professing “Christians” are just plainly not “reborn from above”. They are not really saved. They are into habitual […]
1 John 3:9
1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again —who is reborn from above —spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is […]
God’s Think
I think. You think. We all think. But, what does God think? Thinking is necessary. But what if your “think” is not God’s “think”? Then your “think” will end so very badly when you reach That Day of Judgement, quivering before God in the realization that it is His Think that rules the heavens, not yours. Read about God’s “think”. What you think – matters. How you act it out – matters more. It will seal your eternity – with Him, or without Him.
Penalty vs Effect
Excerpt from: My Heinous Heinous Ways Don’t confuse the “penalty” of sin (if you stand before God or the government) – with the “effect” of sin (the pain and anguish inflicted). Yes, in God’s Heavenly Court any degree of sin is worthy of condemnation, so in that sense, it’s all bad. However, any specific sin […]
Streaming from my soul
What is streaming from deep inside your soul? What is it, coming out from deep inside you? Jesus said that it is that, what is inside you, that causes us problems. It’s not what’s outside. It’s what’s inside.
A Healthy Soul
How do you measure the condition of your soul? We are attacked by so many negative pressures around us. Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers (2 Corinthians 13:5).
Misunderstanding God
For some strange reason I am constantly amazed by the confident bravado of unrepentant so-called “Christians”. But, why am I surprised? “Unrepentant” is bold rebellion, vain conceit, and unbowing willfulness. I don’t think many are “misunderstanding God”. They are merely choosing to follow another god. Won’t that be a horrible day, to beam up and […]
God eventually gives you a free rein
Come close to God – before He can not be found. “He will let you find Him.” It’s your choice. However, eventually He will release you to walk your own way. He will stop trying. And soon, it’s too late.
An unguarded life
No matter who you be… you are unwise to be that Dumbass Lamb “alone in green meadows surrounded by giant forests where wolves lurk”. Guard your life.
Befuddled and Besmirched
Is your “happy” gone? What’s your problem? We all have sin we should be working on. But we do not have to continue in our sin, vile to Jesus. I try to practice admitting I was wrong. We can turn to God in prayer, confess it all, repent of it all….
Keeping Sin
The little verse of Psalm 66:18 teaches us a whole lot about God – and prayer. Just in this tiny verse we see: “If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear.” I am born again, and God has forgiven me of all my sins. However, on any given day or moment, if I come to Him in prayer AND am holding a sin, so to speak, or allowing a sin to have a place in my life — then, the Bible tells me: God will not give heed to what I say.
Distracting Meaningless Things
Turn my eyes away from vanity [all those worldly, meaningless things that distract —let Your priorities be mine], And restore me [with renewed energy] in Your ways. – Psalm 119:37
Ashamed of Yourself?
Have you ever done something you are ashamed of? God does not overlook and excuse sin (Romans 1: verse 18). Never has. Never will. However, Jesus dealt with the sins of others in a much more merciful manner than we tend to do with our self and our sins – and the sins of others. Is your brain noggin talkin’ negative or positive? Biblical or what?
Oh regret
What is your regret? Have you repented? Truly turned…?
My Heinous Heinous Ways
There is a tendency to think that – because I have sinned, therefore God does not like me, doesn’t want me, and, boy is He miffed at me! But that is not what the Bible teaches. That is not what Jesus practiced. So why are folks so condemning of people who fail!? At this time in God’s plan of the ages for us, God is not condemning sinners. THAT will come later! Currently God is trying to get our attention to get us to accept Him before it is too late!
What Will Not Stand
My ways are often not His ways (Deuteronomy 30:16). In that Judgement Day, * my right and wrong “as I see it“, * my “it’s okay to be impure” attitude, * my excuses for fornication, * my boyfriend-girlfriend sex, * my “sexual preference“, * my same-sex sex, * my fetus farming science, * my baby […]
Being a Sinner
Being a sinner is actually quite humiliating, isn’t it? (I assume you also are… and can relate?) I did not want this. I did not plan this. I did not want to be in this. So what do you do about it? My ambition in life – is to please my God. So, this sinning is not what I want. And yet, I still sin! The thing is, though God saves us in an instant, maturity is a lifelong process that takes time. We have to learn to take it as it comes – and look to Christ moment by moment. We don’t accept the sinning, but we accept that we are weak and in need of the power of God in our life!
Playing With Sin
Sinners who accept sin, who conform themselves to their flesh – in whatever form, remain under condemnation still. If you struggle with sin, that means you are not accepting of it. You are rejecting sin but finding your flesh overwhelming. Born-again followers do that. There is a difference between being a sinner – versus living in sin. All born-again believers are sinners, but they have rejected sin by turning to Christ. They have been freed by God – from condemnation.
