The Justice of God

June 13, 2014 by Dennis Swick 1 Comment

The justice of God can be seen in the following verses:

Deals with earth justly – Genesis 18:25
Justice is the foundation of His throne – Psalm 89:14
There is no injustice in God – Deuteronomy 32:4; Isaiah 30:18
God will not pervert justice – Job 34:12
God is the Almighty Judge – Job 34:17
God will judge in righteousness – Psalm 7:11
God judges all the earth – Genesis 18:25; Acts 17:31
God judges with equality – Psalm 96:10
God will judge men’s secrets – Romans 2:16
God does not show partiality – Deuteronomy 16:19
God loves justice – Psalm 99:4; Isaiah 61:8.

We can see from these verses that God is just. He cannot change the way He is (Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8). He does not change His mind (Numbers 23:19; 1 Samuel 15:29; Isaiah 31:2). When He gave His laws to man, they could not be broken. His laws are Holy (Romans 7:12) and they reveal the Holiness of God (Romans 7:12).

The laws reveal to man what sin is (Romans 7:7). When Hebrews 9:22 says, “…without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (1Peter 1:19; Hebrews 10:19), that’s what it means. Someone had to pay with blood for the breaking of God’s laws in order to be forgiven. But not just any blood would do. It had to be perfect and holy blood (Hebrews 9).

Jesus offered Himself and His blood to pay the price for sin (Hebrews 7:27; 9:28). But Jesus was sinless (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22, 23; Hebrews 7:26-28; 1 John 3:4, 5; 1 Peter 1:18, 19; Hebrews 4:15; and 9:14). Yet He was the “lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). With His spotless blood (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26) He became a ransom for our sin (Hebrews 8:15).

And with His blood, God accepted the sacrifice He made for sin (Hebrews 10:19; 9:22; 1 Peter 1:19). God’s justice is now satisfied and those who believe and are in Christ Jesus are not condemned for their sins (Romans 8:1). They are declared free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2).

Bentley – News on Todd Bentley

The charismatic movement has been troubled by unbiblical practices and teachings. I am amazed at how folks are so easily mislead. “Many have exchanged the truth for a lie and chosen experience over content.” Look and examine and see, and compare with what the Bible teaches.

False Prophets

“You may be asking yourselves, “How can we tell if a prophet’s message really comes from the Lord?”” -Deuteronomy 18:21. How can we distinguish the true from the false?

No Faith In Heaven

Faith will not be necessary in heaven. Faith and hope will be ¨done away¨with (1 Corinthians 13:v8). When we finally are brought into His Kingdom, instead of on this earth with His Holy Spirit, then we will have Him, not just merely faith and hope.

Biblical Homosexuality

…a Christian´s Perspective on Homosexuality Quoted from: http://www.indegayforum.org/news/show/31489.html Donny | April 18, 2008, 11:33am | # I’m up to the challenge of gay theology questions: In-hospitality towards others and “haughtiness” were the sins of Sodom. But Ezekiel is quite explicit about sexual sins being front and center as well. “Haughtiness” and the word “Gay” as […]

Inexplicable Joy

Heaven is a joyful place. That is hard for me to imagine… Everywhere I look around me, I see so many problems, issues and unresolved conflicts. But in heaven, they won’t exist anymore. There will only be joy because my sins have been paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ.  One of the main things that describes being in heaven is JOY. The word “joy” has a much deeper meaning than just happiness. To be happy can change so quickly. It can come and go in a moment. But joy…

Letter to Danny

We are continually bombarded by the fiery darts of the Evil One.  And when these little pricks hit us, we need to put-out the flames, quickly. Doubts, depression, feelings of inadequacy, troubles, unruly kids…, when they come at us, we “have to declare” the truths of God, and  we have to choose Truth over lies.

Children’s Bible in a Nutshell

A quick overview of the Bible (tongue-in-cheek). A child was told to write a book report on the entire Bible.

About Biblical Inerrancy

Would God give us erroneous documents and call them “His”? Dumb idea! God brought everything together to form the Bible. Evidence is overpowering as you read what the Bible is, and what it tells us. “It is the history of the Bible that makes it unique among ‘sacred texts.’ See who wrote the Bible, how its reportive style is backed by archeology and historians…” – Quote from “Why You Can Believe the Bible” (www.everystudent.com).

Keeping sin AND getting God’s Holiness also

Be careful as you approach God. You might be doing evil – and not know it (Ecclesiastes 5:1). Do you legitimize your favorite sin as approved by God? Legit sins. What a deal that would be! Live anyway you want, but… just try to be very loving. God is so loving He’s sure to accept us, right?

Christians worship a Jew

As a Christian, do you know the One you worship? Are you hating on Jews these days? Do you realize where Jesus came from?

The Jewish Land of Israel… since 2000 BC

If one is to truly understand the Israel – Arab land dispute of today (Nov/2023), prejudices and false information must be set aside. Accurate historical records must be examined.

Watch out! God protects Israel

IF you are on the side against Israel, you are fighting against God Almighty. And that is a losing war – every time. Watch out! Israel is protected by the One God.
