The broad, wrong road as the Bible puts it of liberal religion promises what they can never deliver on. They claim to speak for God, but only speak for themselves.

I assume they all do “religion” to make God happy – happy enough that He will open up Heaven’s Gates for them. Well, that’s fallacious thinking.

Liberal religion is a form of false teaching. In effect they are false prophets. Like all false teachers, they are “apostate“.
They make up dogmas to believe for their own comfort. They make up rituals to perform for God. They design non-biblical dogmas and non-biblical rituals.
They end up with non-biblical practices that God condemns. It’s a serious thing – displeasing God.
