Sin that easily besets – Hebrews 12:1 AMP
We all have feet that run easily into what is not good. Don’t need convincing of THAT, do you!
Some sin, or some bad habit
Sin and bad habits such as: hate and slouching, gossip and grouching, angry retorts and being undisciplined, bad mouthing and snipping…. We all struggle somehow with something not good – be they sin or “just” bad habits. What’s yours?

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of [a]witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us….

Instead of following that wisdom, and “stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin…” – many of us, with our feet of clay, continue standing on that miry clay – which makes us fall. Slippery place to stand! What’s with that? Site Search Results for: miry clay
God hates this Proverbs 6:16-19.
Of the “six things the Lord hates” Proverbs 6:16-19 – one is “Feet that run swiftly to evil“. (Another which church folk especially love: slander and gossip.) It appears there are many a sin we love to fall for.
One tactic to deal with sins we love — is just to refuse to admit it. Or, say it’s “just fine with me”. Or simply continue running in the dirty realm of “living in sin”. (Not good tactics.)

If something “easily besets” you, and is sin… the Christian thing is to do is:
* “let not” Romans 6:12 “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts and passions.”
* “flee youthful lusts“ – 2 Timothy 2:22 “Run away from youthful lusts—pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those [believers] who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”
* “let not your heart be troubled“ – John 14:1 “Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me.” – Read full chapter

I find healing from that by looking to Jesus. I pray, find His grace, find healing. I feel healed.

Gay Hater – or, Against Sin? Excerpt: There is a huge difference between the two> being a “gay hater” and being “against sin”. But when someone is really into being gay, it is not easy to see the difference, or care.
And the same is true of whatever particular sin you may be up against: lying, stealing, fornicating (Bible definition = any sex with anyone outside of marriage), gossiping, murdering, lusting, cheating, hating, slandering… whatever the brand of sin you easily delve into.

He’s changing me over time. I’m much different now than I was 73 years ago! Ask my wife. She’s been with me for 51 years.I’m a stand up guy meaning. I’m naturally prone to disobey Romans 7:15, buck the tide, stand my ground, and do my own thing. God is still teaching me Philippians 2:3 to keep tight reins over my wild and crazy stallion heart.
I’m so bad that I’ve developed a little habit of frequent repentance which helps me be more consistent: conforming to be more like Jesus Romans 12:2, Job 22:21. How do you deal with the sins in your life, eh?
All that to say: There is nothing more important to me than relating well with God. Who but you oh Lord?.
