Tainted water sucks. Oh…what it does to you! Don’t want to drink that.
Whether hiking beside streams in the pristine, alpine Sierras, or drinking convenient plastic bottled water…the water is not pure, experts say nanoplastics research warnings. It’s like strychnine, killing you softly.
Just so, the tainted waters of religion are dangerous.
How can I tell what is tainted?
The disciple John knew the answer: “By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error”
6 We are from God. The one who knows God listens to us; the one who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
– Verse 6 of 1 John 4:1-6 NASB
We must be following “a faith of the same kind as ours”, Peter said 2 Peter 1:1. All others? All other waters are tainted. There is no other saving Gospel. Be smart. Be wary.

There comes a time to stand for Jesus, or deny Jesus. Has your “faith” led you astray to where you are actually denying Jesus? Dangerous place to be at. Stay there, and it’s eternal – of a sudden Hell is Home.
Jesus wants to give you “water from the fountain of the water of life“. Accept Him today – “without cost“.
Revelation 21:6
And He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I will give [water] from the fountain of the water of life without cost.
Stay far from what is not pure water.

God, the God, not some little god, is our Father – based on the reality that He saved us. Or have you not been saved? It behooves each of us to really examine the evidence, and make sure we are not following some “other” god. The actual God of the universe is the One you want. He is the only one that we should give credence to.
Know your terms. Truth – Apostate – Antithetical – Heritical…Is your light actually darkness?
Better is thinking with God’s Word…THEN you can tell what is tainted

There is a simple test John puts forward here in 1 John 4:1-6. We can easily test those who teach the Bible. We must – to know if they are of God or actually a wayward heretic apostate.
Many false prophets and teachers have gone out into the world. Sadly, their teachings are pure junk. We must guard against them.
