If someone suddenly said, “Watch out!“, would you pay attention? Well, the Bible is saying “Watch out!“. The Bible shows us that God is warning us of danger ahead. God is saying, “Listen up“.
In the book of Acts we read that God helps us pay attention and respond to Him. Lydia responded to “the things said by Paul”:
Acts 16:14
A woman named [a]Lydia,
from the city of Thyatira,
a dealer in [b]purple fabrics
who was [already] a worshiper of God,
listened to us;
and the Lord opened her heart
to pay attention
and to respond to the things said by Paul.
The things said by God
With eternity’s values in view, it behooves us to take heed and respond to the things said by God. We should listen, open our heart, pay attention, and respond according to Acts 16:14.
