Really now – who is Jesus of Nazareth? There are countless misrepresentations, little “antichrists”, fakers. But, who was the real Jesus Christ anyway, the One they call Jesus the Messiah?
Let’s see Jesus as the Bible shows Him, starting with Hebrews 1:1-4.
1 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
2 [a]in these last days has spoken to us [b]in His Son,
whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the [c]world.
3 [d]And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature,
and [e]upholds all things by [f]the word of His power.
When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent name than they.
God the Father first spoke to the Jewish fathers (“to the fathers”) through the Words He gave to specially chosen prophets, what we now know as the Old Testament prophets. This was done “in many portions and in many ways” (v1).
He spoke “in the prophets” who wrote down His Words on scrolls during the Old Testament era. Miraculously some of the original scrolls were preserved and then discovered by archeologists. They are historical, real records which reflect the authenticity of the Old Testament.
God’s “evidences” convince me. How ’bout you? Take a leap. Use some faith. Quash your skepticisms with the facts Jesus left for us to believe in Him.
God spoke (v1), and then Jesus came down to earth from Heaven – and He Himself spoke words from God the Father (“spoken to us in His Son“). We know from the Bible that God is Triune, The Trinity, the “Three-in-One”.
Verses 2-4 tell us who Jesus is:
Jesus as the Bible shows Him
1. Jesus is God Himself. He is Father God’s Son, “His Son” – the Son of God (also referred to as “son of man”). He was not “procreated” like through a womb, but is mysteriously an equal entity within the Trinity, the “Three-in-One”. Seven times Jesus declared He is God with His “I am” statements. Miracles He performed were proofs.
2. God the Father appointed Jesus as “heir of all things”. This shows a hierarchy in the Trinity. See: God as man – the short version
3. Jesus is Creator God. He “made the [c]world”, the universe and all that is.
4. Jesus is “the radiance of” the Father’s glory. The glory of Father God radiates naturally from Jesus.
5. Jesus is “the exact representation of” the Father’s nature. Looking at Jesus – we know what Father God is like. Makes sense, since God is Trinity, “Three-in-One”.
6. The power of Jesus is so great that He “upholds all things by [f]the word of His power.” All that He created is actually kept running by His word. Incredible, no?
“When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,4 having become so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent name than they.“
7. Jesus “made purification of sins”. He came to die for us. It is through His death and resurrection, that we can now be born again through His legally powerful purification. In the Courts of Heaven, the death of Jesus paid the penalty of sin, all of it, so that sin can no longer condemn us.

Therefore there is now
no condemnation
[no guilty verdict, no punishment]
for those who are in Christ Jesus
[who believe in Him
as personal Lord and Savior].
– Romans 8:1
8. Jesus sits on the throne of Heaven – “at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (verse 3).
9. Jesus was NOT a mere angel, not a mere messenger of God. Jesus was “so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent name than they.”
10. Jesus was born of a virgin in Bethlehem, Nazareth.

11. Jesus is God in flesh: John 8:58 with Exodus 3:14. He is real man, and real God – and will be forevermore. He is both God and man: the Godman.

12. Besides being Almighty Creator God, Jesus was the greatest of all prophets of all time. He was a prophet, a real man, and God Himself in the flesh.

| Jesus is all man, and all God, for all time |
13. Jesus is The Damning God. He will give out A God Damn to Hell to all who stay in their unbelief and rebellion against Him.
Hell is real. It’s hot. It’s fiery. It’s dark. Hell is referred to as:
the second death, eternal punishment, outer darkness, pits of darkness, chains of darkness, my bed in the darkness, lake of fire, unquenchable fire, fiery hell, the nether world, Sheol, Gehenna, Hades….

14. Jesus is the God of Forgiveness.
God forgives all wrongdoings of all repentant sinners, no exception! God wants us all to be saved. Have you accepted His free gift of right-standing with God?
13. Jesus promised an End Time Rapture – to take us up to be with Him in Heaven.
What an Absolutely Scintillating Resurrection-Rapture Moment that will be.

There is more historical evidence to prove the existence and life time of Jesus — than there is that Napoleon ever lived!
…For me, “Jesus proofs” are so incontrovertible, so historically accurate, SO convincing… that I have given-over my life to Him. Jesus lives today and is coming again to receive His followers up into His Kingdom.
