Based on an excerpt from: What sort of person are you?
Follow Me, Jesus said. See: Matthew 10:26-39 verse 38
He was no ordinary human. Jesus was the Godman: all man and all God, inside a human body.
Since God Himself asks us to “Follow Me”, why would any mere human NOT? This is Jesus who said, “Follow Me…”! Site Search
What are you thinking?! Jesus is the only one who can save your soul for all eternity!
And so THEN, what are you going to do in That Day? Argue and plead with the Almighty? You really think THAT will work?
You are the putty, the mud, in the Sculptor’s hands. Is the mud to question the potter?
I stand amazed looking at the arrogant mud-man shaking his puny little mud-fist — at God, the Potter! At God! Ha!
What impudence. What futility, despair, regret.
– From The Damning God
How do you follow Jesus? With all of you… or just your religious side, with bits and pieces of your life? We are not saved through “being religious” nor by throwing Him a few bits and pieces of our life. See: What saves you
Jesus did not say –
1. Come to Me however you want to come.
2. Any way of belief is fine with Me: It’s all good!
3. All faiths are good enough for me.
4. Just have faith and it will work-out fine in the end.
5. Just say the words, and that will save you.
Salvation is an “all or nothing”
faith in — and following of Christ
and His example of living.
Are you truly saved?
Your life will surely show it.

22 But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and
not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth].
– James 1: verse 22
The fake faith believer… 1
- Does not put their faith in Jesus alone.
- Has not been born again.
- Refuses to live a biblical lifestyle.
- Adds their own beliefs to what is the plain and simple biblical truth.
- Maintains an unrepentant heart.
- Is a fake faith fruity fool.
- Produces bad fruits – and is by them condemned (Titus 1:15-16).
- Does not produce the good fruit of the Holy Spirit. “So produce fruit that is consistent with repentance [demonstrating new behavior that proves a change of heart, and a conscious decision to turn away from sin] – Matthew 3:8.
- Accepts beliefs outside Christ’s own teachings. See: | “extra-biblical doctrines” | Counterfeit spirit of god.
- Accepts what God rejects. See: What Jesus taught.
- Is condemned by God for accepting what is heinous to Himself.
- Your own beliefs contradicting God’s biblical message — are heinous to God.
- All unbiblical practices (“works”) — are vile to Jesus.
- Sometimes is an idolater. 1 Corinthians 10:9-14. Ephesians 5:5.
“For this you know with certainty,
that no immoral or
impure person or
covetous man,
who is an idolater,
has an inheritance in
the kingdom of Christ and God.”
– Ephesians 5:5
- Is rebellious (Job 34:37, Job 13:23) and against being more like Christ.
- Does not follow a biblical worldview and Christ-like lifestyle.
- Is defiled and unbelieving, to the point where nothing is pure (Titus 1:15-16).
- Both their mind and their conscience are defiled (Titus 1:15-16).

____________
Very specific, this Bible of ours! This is how our omniscient God sees fakes: Those with a fake faith are “corrupt and unbelieving” and “by their actions they deny and disown Him.” (Titus 1:15-16)
“Faking it”
The Lord God Almighty sees into the depths of our heart and mind. It is therefore absolutely, totally lame to be “faking it” inside our insides, thinking “I’ve got this!”
What we think inside — will inevitably stream out from your soul. And God knows anyway (1 Chronicles 28:9). What are you thinking?!
1 Chronicles 28:9
“…the Lord searches
all hearts and minds,
and understands
every intent and
inclination of the thoughts.“
“If you seek Him
[inquiring for and of Him
and requiring Him
as your first
and vital necessity]
He will let you find Him;
but if you abandon
(turn away from)
Him,
He will reject you
forever.”
– 1 Chronicles 28:9
The way God wants
We all must “seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity]“. Is God your “first and vital necesity” – as said in 1 Chronicles?
Our whole outlook on life
The only way we can actually begin “salvation”… is by yielding ourselves wholeheartedly — and then we inevitably continue “with our salvation” by following Him. As believers, followers of Christ, our whole outlook on life sees the hectic chaos of the world in these end times as temporary – and thus we say with Peter:
Since all this stuff is only temporary and will soon disappear anyway, I want to be the sort of person that lives my life — the way God wants me to live.
My focus is going to be on eternity with God. I am going to be diligent to live His Way — so that when I stand before the King of Kings, He will see me totally covered by His forgiveness, “in peace, spotless and blameless“. Peter said:
______________
11 Since all these things
are to be destroyed in this way,
what sort of people
ought you to be
in holy conduct
and godliness….
14 Therefore, beloved,
since you look for these things,
be diligent
to be found by Him
in peace, spotless
and blameless….”
– 2 Peter 3:11-18–verses 11 and 14
What sort of person are you? Have you been truly saved? And now: Are you being diligent to be the sort that God wants? 2
My sheep listen to My voice,
and I know them,
and they follow Me
– John 10:27
Why should God let you into His Holy Kingdom?
FOR MORE:
We can never be saved by being sinless. Thank God! None would ever get saved then! But Jesus said, “Follow Me.” THAT is a choice. No matter how good, or how poorly we follow Him… He still forgives and saves the repentant sinner. So, what does it mean to “follow”?

Footnotes
- Salvation is all about genuineness. God obviously does not accept a lie. How can one expect God to accept falsehood? You cannot expect God to save a “lied repentance”, as it were.
If it is fake, God has to reject it:
- Fake “repentance”
- Fake “calling upon the Lord”
- Fake “accepting Christ” as your Savior
- Ingenuine allegiance to Christ
- A life that screams ” I am unwilling to bow my knee to what the Bible says.
- Fake Christian – saying one thing, but your life is opposed to what Jesus stands-for.
Your heart must be genuine when you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. – Source: Following Someone.
- Excerpt from A Healthy Soul: A Healthy Soul… based on Galatians 5:22-23
- walks with wings of grace, not slithering condemnation, self and selfishness
- walks into your space smoothing soothing lotion on your roughed-up soul
- with unguarded presence – expresses: “I’m fine with you”, “I am yours for this moment in time together”
- is longsuffering and gentle,
- not back-stabbing, pouty, self-absorbed
- is compelled by the Spirit, listening to His still, small voice (Acts 20:22)
- feels obligated and directed toward action because of strong convictions (Acts 20:22)
- produces the fruit of the Spirit more and more
