The Biggest Rescue of All
By far, the biggest rescue of all time by God will be coming soon. It is what we call, The Rapture, where Jesus will rescue believers from the wrath to come. Are you ready for it?!

The rescue of God’s Rapture day will not be unprecedented. There have been other “rescues”, although the Rapture will be a far greater event, of huge proportions! God has rescued His own — many times. Thus, we should not be put-off by the “rescue” of the Rapture.
God’s “wrath”
The “wrath of God” from which we are rescued by the Rapture, also is not unprecedented. God is a God of Wrath, and greatly to be feared. Jesus Himself said to be “fearful” of God – not fear what mere man can do: (Matthew 10:28, Matthew 10:21-33, Luke 12:4)
28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; but rather be afraid of Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two little sparrows sold for a [b]copper coin? And yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered [for the Father is sovereign and has complete knowledge]. 31 So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.
32 “Therefore, the one who [c]confesses and acknowledges Me before men [as Lord and Savior, affirming a state of oneness with Me], that one I will also confess and acknowledge before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But the one who denies and rejects Me before men, that one I will also deny and reject before My Father who is in heaven.
There have been many instances of God’s “wrath”and rejection. There are 148 references of “wrath” throughout the Old Testament, where God’s wrath was brought down to earth in the past. If you do this word search on “wrath of God” you’ll find seventy-seven (77) “wrath of God” references.
God’s “rescues”
There have been many instances of God’s “rescues”. He moves like lightning into our physical dimension and “rescues” according to His will.
We see “rescue” 129 times — rescues in the Old Testament (some not from God) and see 17 in the New Testament (some of which refer to OT rescues). God has rescued His followers in the past, and He has promised to rescue them in the future.
What God has done in the past, was often recorded by God to show us what He can do in the future. We must not underestimate the ability of God to write prophetically of what He will fulfill later. We must remember to apply Scripture to other Scripture:
Where-When? here are a few examples of “rescue”
* God will “rescue us from the wrath to come.” We know a lot of details. We just do not know the “when”. (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10NASB)
* God rescued Israel from Egypt (Acts 7:34), from the power of the Egyptians. (Exodus 3:8)
“I have come down
to rescue them
from the power of the Egyptians”
– Exodus 3:8
* God rescued Paul who had extreme “trouble in [the west coast province of] Asia [Minor].” (2 Corinthians 1:10NASB)
9 Indeed, we felt within ourselves that we had received the sentence of death [and were convinced that we would die, but this happened] so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead. 10 He rescued us from so great a threat of death, and will continue to rescue us. On Him we have set our hope. And He will again rescue us [from danger and draw us near]….” – 2 Corinthians 1:9-10AMP
* God rescued Paul “from troublesome and evil people.” (2 Thessalonians 3:2)
“…pray for us that the word of the Lord will [a]spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it was also with you; 2 and that we will be rescued from troublesome and evil people; for not all have the faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, [b]and He will strengthen and protect you [c]from the evil one.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:2
* God rescued Peter from Herod. (Acts 12:11)
* God rescued Paul through the power of the Roman commander of centurions. (Acts 23:27; Acts 23:11-35)
* God rescued Paul from “persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra.”
“what persecutions I endured,
and out of them all
the Lord rescued me!”
– 2 Timothy 3:11
* God rescued Paul “out of the lion’s mouth.” (2 Timothy 4:17)
17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation might [a]be fully accomplished, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was rescued out of the lion’s mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will [b]bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to [i]Him be the glory forever and ever.
– 2 Timothy 4:17-18
* God rescued me personally from certain death by way of an angel at my shoulder. (Editor of OMGjesus.com)

The Rapture: One Second Before and One Second After! – By
Excerpt: “There is more than one Rapture mentioned in the Bible”
“Incidentally, there is more than one Rapture mentioned in the Bible. Including the Rapture of the Believers, there are possibly eight different Raptures.
Enoch was raptured in Genesis 5:24, Elijah was taken up in 2 Kings 2:11-12, and Yeshua was caught up in Revelation 12:5. Philip (Acts 8:39-40) and Paul (2 Corinthians 123:1-4) were temporarily raptured.
John was possibly raptured in Revelation 4:1-2, the believers will be raptured according to 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and finally, the two witnesses in Revelation 11:11-12.
So, the future Rapture of the believers is one of several, but definitely the most important in the history of mankind.” – Source: The Rapture: One Second Before and One Second After! – By
