The “godly truth”
You got it? The truth that is godly?
It takes a lot of careful thinking to keep safe the “godly truth entrusted to” us who follow Jesus. 1 Timothy 6:20-21 The Apostle Paul tells us 1 we must constantly be discerning, like a judge with a gavel, passing judgement right and left — upon what is said around us. Or else.
We must develop a biblical mentality – and think like God Almighty! Truly! It is that bad out there nowadays.

Pushed to conform
With so much evil growing, it is getting more and more difficult to think like God thinks. In these End Days, or, as Jesus put it 2 in Matthew 24:14 “…and then the end“… we are being pushed to conform our thinking to the way of the world.
The Rich Mindset of God
God is so high above us. If you stick to your own level of thought you’ll never make it to Heaven. You have to think like God — in order to get saved.
– Source: Think like God Almighty
“God’s think” is opposite to “world think“. Paul tells us there is a lot of ‘what is falsely called “knowledge”’ bombarding us throughout our day. Little things and big ones. We must guard our mind and discern (“make a judgement”). Ask and confirm:
Is that really true? Are we tolerating evil? Who said that? Does Jesus agree with that? Does the Bible agree? Verify Jesus!
Enlightened Folks
If we do not discern “right from wrong” — what are we accepting. What do we slowly become? Like the frog in the kettle, we slowly become “Enlightened Folks“. This type of “knowledge” often will appear nice and wise. But it is actually “profane, empty words”.
It is so often a bunch of “worldly and godless chatter”. It is full of “contradictions”. It comes from those who are not right with God. It is “contrary to sound doctrine” (1 Timothy 1:8-11).
Are you one of those? The many “enlightened” folks who have tasted what God does in Christians, maybe even liked it… but you haven’t really yielded to God, you haven’t truly choosen to follow Him? Have you fallen away?
– Source: Enlightened Folks
Much of this so-called “knowledge” that the world throws at us is not of God, it is not true, and if we take that and go with it, many… “by doing so have erred (missed the mark) and strayed from the faith” (1 Timothy 6:20-21). The Apostle Paul warns us:
20 O Timothy, guard and keep safe the deposit [of godly truth] entrusted to you, turn away from worldly and godless chatter [with its profane, empty words], and the contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge”— 21 which some have professed and by doing so have erred (missed the mark) and strayed from the faith. – 1 Timothy 6:20-21
we must constantly
be discerning,
like a judge with a gavel,
passing judgement
right and left
This “worldly and godless chatter [with its profane, empty words]” telling us false things… is in the politics of The Left — in the left-leaning media, in the left-leaning friends, family, people in the pews, and the left-leaning church leaders…. 3 So we must guard our thinking. Keep it biblical.
Each of us who follow Jesus – can be wise. It takes persistent, constant guarding of our mind. Paul, the worst of the worst who was then forgiven, is our hero in this, “an example or pattern for those who [c]would believe in Him for eternal life” (1 Timothy 1:16 in all English translations).
Have you bit the bait, swallowed it whole – hook, line and sinker?
“in later times
some will turn
away from the faith”
– 1 Timothy 4:1-2
What are you thinking? It takes discernment to stay constant and true in the faith.
