I’m sure you’ve heard the stories of the wannabe doctor, the wannabe policeman, the wannabe hero – the wannabe biblical teacher, and the many a wannabe Christian posers. Have you ever wanted to be something… but you certainly were not even close to being that?
Excerpt from What we are to be:
“…we’ve got to back up our talk with our walk.
The little boy that shows-up at the pool with his swimsuit and goggles on, and cheerily declares he is a swimmer, quickly is found-out to be “all talk and no walk”… when he promptly sinks to the bottom of the pool!
Saying so – does not make you so. So it will be for many when they suddenly find themselves standing before the Judge on That Day.”

There are real-life wannabe Christians who ain’t. I hope that’s not you. Is your “faith” for real – or are you merely an outsider looking in?
Outsiders looking in…those who like it
We can do our own thing, create our own “faith”, even enjoy the fellowship of true believers, but if you are not truly born again, then you are the tare living alongside the wheat (Matthew 13).
You are what is described in Hebrews 6:4-9: those who like it but don’t stick with it, and never were actually a part of it. Outsiders looking in.
Yielding
When we yield to him all of who we are, no matter how sinful we are — “He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9 KJV version)

God wants us all to be saved. But He requires we back up our talk with our walk. Are you a posing as Christian? Got the Chutzpah of a Wannabe? Are you living for Jesus, or for …something else?
____________
Entrance Granted Into the Eternal
Imagine this Excerpt: If we reject Jesus – we defy Him. Then, we will live in rejection of Him forever. Imagine that.
Imagine what being “saved” has meant to you
Imagine you, the Perfect Person Excerpt: Imagine You, a totally mature person who can correctly say before God all day, every day — “I am…
Imagine your evil unrestrained
What we are to be Excerpt: It appears to me that a lot of folk nowadays want what Jesus offers, but they don’t want to actually “follow” Jesus. Many might even enjoy the fellowship of true believers (Hebrews 6:4-6). They might even call themselves Christians — but, there just isn’t any evidence of having been truly born again.

Practicing Sin – Not Following Christ
Prove Me Wrong (annotated version)
Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers. Examine yourselves [not me]! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves [by an ongoing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test and are rejected as counterfeit? – 2 Corinthians 13:5
Examine yourself – 2 Corinthians 13:5
Being tested to know for sure your faithfulness to God
Confirm & Affirm why Jesus will accept me Excerpt: I confirm my salvation – in His Word
Because I am a bit of a lunkhead MirWeb, periodically I must remind myself why Jesus will accept me into His Holy Kingdom. I’m still not holy. And that drags on me. I’m workin’ at it, however.
I am almost perfect (in the sense of: I am old, and almost dead and into Heaven!) – but I’ll have to wait and pass on through to the other side for active perfection. Hardly can wait for that day! (2 Corinthians 5:1-10)
Could it be true that today only 6% of “Christians” are truly born again?

Being an “evangelical” in today’s wild and wooly ungodly culture Excerpt:
Evangelicals differentiate between:
* What is biblical vs what is a “spirit of error“,
* What Jesus taught vs what erroneous fake Christians expouse
* True salvation that saves sinners vs watered down versions that do not save
“But you do not believe Me [so you do not trust and follow Me] because you are not My sheep“.
– Verse 26 of John 10:23-30
* Genuine faith that produces good works vs faith without works. Faith without works is dead (James 2:14-26).
Evangelicals take God at His Word – as recorded for us in the Bible. Don’t believe what the ungodly say about evangelicals. What do they know?

The faith of “anything goes” Excerpt: Where is your faith at these days? The world is changing. Is it changing your faith, along with your culture? Or is your faith rock solid with the real, historical Jesus?
Hymenaeus and Alexander (1 Timothy 1:15-20) “made a thorough mess of their faith” by loosening-up the true Gospel. They started thinking “anything goes”.
What kind of belief in Jesus did they have, anyway – – to where “anything goes”? Not my kind of faith. Not the kind of faith of the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul.
Will you be turned away by Jesus?
Is yours a doctrine that Jesus will approve?

False Prophets | by Diane S. Dew
1 Timothy 4: verses 1-2 AMP
“But the [Holy] Spirit explicitly and unmistakably declares that in later times some will turn away from the faith, paying attention instead to deceitful and seductive spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 [misled] by the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared as with a branding iron [leaving them incapable of ethical functioning]….”
