In our walk as believers, the biblical norm we aspire towards as Christians is an extremely high standard. In fact, it is an impossible norm – unless we are consistently filled with the Holy Spirit. Are you? The only way we can be who we truly are in Christ – is to be filled by His Spirit.
Gritty-Plain Living

(Read Job 7:17-18.) None of […]
Watch out for the dogs!
Don’t minky with God’s Truth! We must know the Bible well enough – so we can distinguish “nice” teachers from Truth teachers.
Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The Reaper comes – you know not when. He’s coming soon for you.
Don’t wait too long. Turn to Christ.
It’s best to bow right now.
Actually act on what you know
Do you “prefer the plain meaning to the obscurantist theology of unbelief”? Do you “call forth what’s [yours] in Christ without double-mindedness”? (Andrée Seu Peterson) “…act upon the knowledge of faith….” – Francis Schaeffer.
Do you believe in Napoleon?
For me, “Jesus proofs” are so incontrovertible, so historically accurate, SO convincing… that I have given-over my life to Him. Jesus lives today and is coming again to receive His followers up into His Kingdom. Are you ready for that?
The Holy Spirit in You?
When we accept Christ, the whole universe becomes our family domain! We become a child of Creator God. Our new life, spirit and soul, begins eternal life as the Holy Spirit of God, part of the “three in one” mysterious Triune God, takes up residence in our body.
Thinking Is Incidental?
Being an atheist: “It’s incidental to who I am.” – 2018 USA State Senator candidate Is that really what you think… that: How I think is incidental to how I act? That how I think is incidental to what laws and decisions I will support? How ridiculous is that!? A 2018 USA State Senator wannabee […]
Befuddled and Besmirched
Is your “happy” gone? What’s your problem? We all have sin we should be working on. But we do not have to continue in our sin, vile to Jesus. I try to practice admitting I was wrong. We can turn to God in prayer, confess it all, repent of it all….
Saving Knowledge
There is a saving knowledge of Christ, and there is a false knowledge about Christ. One connects you to God and saves you. The other does not lead to Creator God. Do you know the difference?
Lord, Father, I bow my heart before you
PIC by heather-schwartz-493955-unsplash Español: Señor, Padre, inclino mi corazón ante Ti …a prayer for today Oh Lord, Father, I just come to you now in prayer. In my inner soul I kneel before you. Oh my God, thank You for the privilege to come into Your very presence this very moment. Thank you for your […]
How Prayer Works
Prayer is a mysterious thing, is it not? Praying: I come to God through my spirit, with my soul speaking from my mind and heart. Prayer “works” because God is gracious and forgiving. And He Himself asks us to come into His presence. The Bible says God hears and responds – to even the most vile of sinners.
Was Graham right -or- Hawking?
Who was correct? Graham -or- Hawking? Billy said “I’ll be in heaven in the future life”, whereas Hawking postulated there is no afterlife, saying heaven “is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.” “One thing’s for sure: Both of these men now know the truth of what happens after death.” – Robin O’Hare […]
Keeping Sin
The little verse of Psalm 66:18 teaches us a whole lot about God – and prayer. Just in this tiny verse we see: “If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear.” I am born again, and God has forgiven me of all my sins. However, on any given day or moment, if I come to Him in prayer AND am holding a sin, so to speak, or allowing a sin to have a place in my life — then, the Bible tells me: God will not give heed to what I say.
Stand Strong
Sinning is basically: “failing God”. But when we confess… He forgives. We can “gear up” if we “Put on the full armor of God” (Ephesians 6:10-17). Then we can “back-up our talk with our walk.” (See “What We Are To Be”)
Ghosts, Spirits and Demons
What we know from Scripture about …other dimensions… angels, Satan, demons, spirits and ghosts.
The Security of the True Believer
When we, anyone, comes to God with sincerity and truth, giving Him all that we are, bowing our heart to Him in confession and repentance of sin – we are saved, redeemed, and given eternal life in that very moment. He saves us – not we ourselves.
What God Did for Man
Have you ever wondered how it all got started – the universe, the earth, nature, animals, you and your “like”, mankind? Any belief system has to start with: the start. What is it!? What happened to get all-that-is …into existence? The most logical explanation is that a very creative entity started it all. Think about it.
Inexhaustible Patience
“…with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching.” You got it? INexhaustible patience? In our relations with other people, and especially those of the faith, the norm we aspire towards as Christians — is totally unreachable without the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through us. Quite a high standard! 2 Timothy 4:2 Amplified Bible […]
The Righteous Person
The righteous person is the one that seeks and submits to the will of God. It’s not the perfect one, but the ones who seek Him and submit to Him.
Distracting Meaningless Things
Turn my eyes away from vanity [all those worldly, meaningless things that distract —let Your priorities be mine], And restore me [with renewed energy] in Your ways. – Psalm 119:37
Mars Hill
Acts 17:10-34 …examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so Paul at Berea 10 The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, [a]and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, [b]for they received the word with […]
Furnished Proof
Who do you believe? Jesus? Satan? Some self-appointed guru? Your choice will divide eternity for you.
More Than Conquerors – In Christ
Photo: More than a conqueror, Nabeel Qureshi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nabeel_Qureshi_(author)) – example of victorious Christian faith. What are the beliefs of your faith? What kind of faith are you experiencing as a follower of Jesus Christ? What is your daily experience? What are your expectations of yourself spiritually, your daily walk with God? Do you have one… […]
I have faith
I have faith. What kind of faith do you have?

Only God’s Way Leads to Himself
It makes sense that God will have HIS WAY. Why do so many today think God is McDonald’s, saying “Have it your way!”?
Habits of Love
Doing love from your soul. Your supposed “love” is not really love, if it is not actually “doing love”. You do actual acts of love. Love is active. We form habits by doing….
When talking choose nice
Do you know how to converse without offending? We can choose to talk nice words. How are you doing with that?
I beat my wife up everyday
Are you there in the early morning – for the people you love? Or are you hinged to your bed “like a door to its hinges” (Proverbs 26:13-16), “[losing opportunity after opportunity]” (Proverbs 26:13-16)?
