Are you perhaps slip-sliding away into a thinking where you matter most? And God doesn’t? Got a mental attitude where you think God should ask you for your opinion? Like, God should say to you, “What you think, man?”
Are you disturbing to God?
What disturbs God? You know?
My simple frequent practice of repentance
I know I sin. Any sin breaks my close relationship with God. So I’ve got a simple frequent practice to deal with that: I repent – frequently.
Being pleasing
Getting born again established my identity. I am a child of God now. Rejecting sin is a part of my identity. How ’bout you?
Wrapped in unselfish love
From the richness of my soul I am sufficient enough to be loving in all situations. But if I am not well in my soul, then, well, trouble’s a’ comin’.
When I find myself in times of trouble, I turn to Jesus
Jesus is our answer in times of trouble. I am learning to cast it all on Him — knowing He cares about me. When the burden is heavy, I like to pray: “Lord. All of this… I bring to You. You’ve asked me to cast my cares on You (1 Peter 5:7). I know you care about me. So here it is….
After you have suffered for a little while
Suffering -pain- worries…all come at us here on earth. Scripture tells us “…be firm in your faith.” He is my Shepherd (Psalm 23). We are told “casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]” – 1 Peter 5:6-9.
