The Difference
“denying Christ” versus “being faithless”
DENY
If you deny Christ, then “He will also deny“…you. Denying is contradicting Jesus, and you are, even now, God damned on Earth. 1
It doesn’t matter who you think you are, God is not impressed. He will judge all of us on an equal basis. And when God calls a sin, “sin”, it is.
“Accepting Christ as your Savior” and then, calling what He calls sin “okay” and permissible!? You, on what basis do you declare anything as “okay” when Holy God condemned it? God says that those who walk that way are still in their sins, under condemnation.

FAITHLESS
If you are genuinely “in the faith”, in Christ, born again… and you find your faith lacking (as in zippo, zilch, empty, gone, your faith has said “sayonara“) the Truth of the Gospel is: Jesus stays with you. Jesus Himself promises “He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself”.
2 Timothy 2:11-13
11 The statement is trustworthy:
For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;
12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we [f]deny Him, He will also deny us;
13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
Salvation is not dependent on me desperately grasping the Hand of Jesus with a death-hold, terrified I will fall into Hell. No. He is the One that has me firmly in His Hand. He holds me in His Hands – and won’t let go.
…He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” – Hebrews 13:5
The genuine salvation that you received in that moment in time when you accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord – that salvation – will never ever be taken away from you. Exalt Jesus for that! Oh how marvelous, so great a salvation He provides.

What happens in that moment when one accepts Christ as Lord:
17 Therefore
if anyone
is in Christ,
he is a new creature;
the old things passed away;
behold,
new things have come.
– 2 Corinthians 5:17
To all born again believers: No matter how insignificant you may feel at this time, how lost in sin you may be now, how dejected, how badly befuddled and besmirched you have become — Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you, for you are a Child of the King of Kings. (Read: John 10:27-30; Romans 8:1,37-39)
I refuse to worry about God’s capability to save me. I thank God He has promised to keep working on me – but I am not relying on my good works to save me. Jesus alone saves. And what He does cannot be undone.
I live with confidence
I am not afraid of death
I cast aside fear. God is my refuge and strength
I do not allow sin to reign over me
I have exceedingly vibrant joy in my inner soul
Although I am not perfect, I have, growing in me… “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control”
I converse with my Savior all throughout my day
I make it my aim to do everything I do – with all my might, and – for the glory of God
