Are you living and leaving God behind? That is e-a-s-y. Almost everyone around you is doing THAT!
Why don’t you try something a little more challenging? Try this:
Live to please God Almighty
– in everything you do!
(See: Colossians 3:17)
Now that is a worthy challenge. And the prize beyond that door at the end is more than adequate for your focus.
Welcome to the show,
What’s Beyond The Door!
The stakes are gargantuanly humongous!
There are so, so many ways to walk away from God. Losing it! You can do it real fast, or you can do it slowly, little by little wandering afar, until its discovered of a sudden: “I’m not following Jesus anymore!”
Doing “everything in the name of the Lord Jesus” is what it means to believe in the Name of Jesus. It’s not mental, it’s behavioral. Think about it. Is “the world” blowing you this way and that — away from what Jesus taught?
unstable
and restless in all his ways
[in everything he thinks,
feels, or decides].
– James 1:8
Will you be turned away by Jesus?
…Losing it
Let me count the ways:
*Losing it
Are you contrary…?
“…whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine 11 that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.”
– 1 Timothy 1:6-11
“being a double-minded man, unstable and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides].” – James 1:8
*Losing it
Do you love Jesus less than something else? For example:
John 12:43
For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
*Losing it
Are you following something else other than Jesus’ Way?
“Religions have sprung up all over – figment religions, following after perhaps well-meant ideas, but… only ideas, theories, and some really really strange fabrications. You’d have to be a stupid ass to follow some, while others are quite charming and actually beguiling. Maybe you are in one today?
We do not need religion. We need Jesus. Following Jesus – is not a religion. It is a relationship of grace and freedom in Christ.”

Are you accepting what God has rejected?
God is not impressed
“It doesn’t matter who you think you are, God is not impressed. He will judge all of us on an equal basis. And when God calls a sin, “sin”, it is.“Accepting Christ as your Savior” and then, calling what He calls sin “okay” and permissible!? You, on what basis do you declare anything as “okay” when Holy God condemned it? God says that those who walk that way are still in their sins, under condemnation.”

Scary thought, to call yourself “Christian”, but be turned away by Jesus because you called some of the “sin” on God’s Sin List — okay √ (1 Timothy 1:6-11). You contradict God in this way?

Are you tempting God?
“Tempting God”, in this sense, is treating Him as if He is not who He says He is, questioning who He is.

Are you consorting with error?
They can become idols (Matthew 6:24; Exodus 20:4).

What distinguishes your faith in God – from that of those without Christ?
“There are unrepentant “tares” all around us at church, and in churches all around the world. The lovely folk around you, your friends at church – some are tares. That is what Jesus Himself taught. They are the ones spoken of by Matthew, Luke, John, and Paul:
-
- ones who are not “of us”
1 John 2:19 “They went out from us [seeming at first to be Christians], but they were not really of us [because they were not truly born again and spiritually transformed]; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out [teaching false doctrine], so that it would be clearly shown that none of them are of us. - so-called Christians, but not real… just wannabees“

Are you making God as you want him to be…
Are you making “god”?
Would you like to die and find yourself kneeling before a different God than the one you had been following while on earth?
What if the god you worship and pay homage to, the one you claim as yours – is actually a deceiving demon; not God?
What if the real God is trying to get your attention so He can save you eternally from the coming eternal punishment of all sinners?

living and
leaving God behind?
*Losing it
Are you leaving God behind in your pursuit of what you think? I mean: You tell me. What is it? What is it that has taken you away?
Paul wrote:
“I pray, that your love may abound more and more [displaying itself in greater depth] in real knowledge and in practical insight,
10 so that you may learn to recognize and treasure what is excellent [identifying the best, and distinguishing moral differences],
and that you may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ
[actually living lives that lead others away from sin];
11 filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God [so that His glory may be both revealed and recognized].”
– Philippians 1:9-11
What is it that has taken you away?
“Are you walking dead, deep in sin, too far gone for God to care? How sinful can one be – and yet be forgiven by God…?”
– Source: Can Jesus forgive you?
The good news, the extremely fabulous good news — is that Jesus provided a way for absolutely anyone to get redeemed. Oh how marvelous it is:
“If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].” – 1 John 1:9
