It is a good thing to have values – like what the Catholics teach – to live better. The Jewish belief system, and some others also teach good values.
The much better thing: get saved
Good moral values are needed. But it is a much better thing to get saved by the redemption of Jesus. What a difference that makes. It is an eternal life difference that Jesus gives!
Jesus said
“I give them eternal life”

What good is it, really, to teach values for living —

* IF in the end you pass on through to the other side and find it is Hell?

BEYOND HUGE!
The problem with the Catholic Church is that their traditions hide true salvation in Christ by grace alone (among other doctrinal issues). I’ve heard from former Catholics that it is very difficult to become a born again believer when under Catholic teachings. Is that true with you?
Most Catholics do not hear the message straight. Priests do not commonly give – the message of salvation spoken by Jesus to Paul. THAT is a hell-of-a-problem.
That hell-of-a-problem with the Catholic Church is their belief system that takes Catholics down the broad road to eternal destruction. More and more so-called Protestant churches are also on that same road due to spiritual drift, straying off the narrow road laid-down by Jesus on the cross.
Jesus already died. And He already rose from the dead. He did it! Hallelujah! He did it all, “once for all” (Hebrews 7:27), in order to be able to legally forgive you in the Heavenly Court system.
Catholics teach …and, very possibly your church may teach this also:
The knowledge which does not save you (such as what NAR false teachers teach)
* keeps you under condemnation
* keeps you bound in your sinfulness
* gives you no legal rights whatsoever – before Creator God

The Gospel
There are two roads to die for. Which road are you on? Do you know the difference?
Many religious people have missed the road to Heaven. They were sincere and committed, but not “in Truth” – to Jesus. Many so-called Christians lacked just one thing.
They all took a short-cut, or found themselves on some broad and gorgeous avenue they just could not bear to leave. And so, they took that much more traveled road.
Our choice is between: The rarely taken straight and narrow — and — the busy Broad Way. You’ll have to die for either choice. Where you going?

Are you intellectually contrary to what the Bible teaches? Contradicting Jesus with how you live throughout your day? You a contrarian, not willing to conform to what Jesus taught?
Having it both ways…Not a chance in Hell
Ain’t happenin’. We absolutely can NOT have it both ways – having our way and having God’s Way.
If we love the world, and call our self “Christian”, then we are “serving two masters” (Matthew 6:24). And you know what Jesus said about that:
“…where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also.”

22 “The eye is the lamp of the body; so if your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive], your whole body will be full of light [benefiting from God’s precepts].
23 But if your eye is bad [spiritually blind], your whole body will be full of darkness [devoid of God’s precepts]. So if the [very] light inside you [your inner self, your heart, your conscience] is darkness, how great and terrible is that darkness!
– Matthew 6:22-23
The “world” is an enemy of our soul. Why would anyone think that loving the world is okay with Jesus? Is your light actually darkness? (Luke 11:33-36)
