What Today’s Left sees in Jesus’ teachings
The New Left of today sees Jesus exactly as Jesus predicted. No surprise there. They sit in darkness. They hate the light.

Fear not the world
Christians will “have tribulation and distress and suffering”. If Jesus experienced tribulations – why not us?
John 16:33
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]
Christians will be hated
Matthew 10:22
And you will be hated by everyone because of [your association with] My name, but it is the one who has patiently persevered and endured to the end who will be saved.

Christians will be excluded, insulted, scorned as evil

Blessed [morally courageous and spiritually alive with life-joy in God’s goodness] are you when people hate you, and exclude you [from their fellowship], and insult you, and scorn your name as evil because of [your association with] the Son of Man.
Why the world hates Christians
Jesus predicted this hatred by the world.
* because of our association with His name Matthew 10:22
* because they hate Jesus
* because they have chosen not to accept Him
Christian response to the world
Because we are filled by the Spirit – we can have the victory of Jesus. We can:
* “have [perfect] peace” in Jesus

* “be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]”
See: Are you ready, steady, and able?
Why? Because “[My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]” Victory is a done deal. Don’t give up.

What happens when we love and forgive others?
We are accused of hate and division because we actually follow Jesus. This can be plainly seen, evidenced, for example, in the reviews of Andy Stanley’s biblically erroneous, hateful book, Not in it to win it. See my review of the reviewers where I wrote: I’m in it to win it.
“Divisiveness among pew sitters (wheat and tares) in churches is not the fault of the followers of Christ who speak-up for righteousness. If division occurs, perhaps the cause is the finger-pointer who is against followers of Christ – those who truly are following Christ.”

Christians are being accused of hate and division because we speak out against sin. We speak the truth with love – and yet are hated and scorned for it Luke 6:22.
Charlie Kirk is an extreme example. Although admired in Christian circles, many in the world scorned him. They believed he promoted hate and division. The truth? His organization, Turning Point USA – and his personal values… mirrored those of Jesus and what Jesus taught.
Scripture teaches that the world has “superficial values and customs” Romans 12:2. and they are governed by evil desires 1 Peter 1:14. Not the way to go, at all.
Jesus taught values His way. And because of that — the world hates Him, and hates us who follow Him. “Do not be surprised” 1 John 3:13 nor discouraged.
Values Jesus Taught

1. Do not conform to the world Romans 12:2.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
1 Peter 1:14
[Live] as obedient children [of God]; do not be conformed to the evil desires which governed you in your ignorance [before you knew the requirements and transforming power of the good news regarding salvation].
2. Resist the pressures coming at us from the enemies of our soul: (1) the World, (2) the Flesh, (3) and Satan. Speak up…in love.
The Media twist the truth, turn things upside down, and give us wrong impressions. There is a huge lack of common sense out there. I “write-off” a huge percentage of all that is said there.
Resist the pressure,
resist ProPalistine acts,
stand up for Israel,
speak out against evil,
be not conformed,
stand firm,
stand strong,
stand up,
speak up,
be honest,
be biblical.

3. Hold to godly values and ethical attitudes Romans 12:2.
4. Promote what is good and acceptable and perfect in God’s sight Romans 12:2.
5. Do not hide your faith, but rather – burn your candle high for all to see. Are Christians to remain hog-tied and silent in the face of evil? If you are following Jesus, your love obligates you to speak up.

* When little girls and young women are traded as sex slaves? Remain silent?
* When sex shops are opened next to schools? Remain silent?
* When drug dealers open shop in your neighborhood? Remain silent?
* When a very explicit homosexual agenda is played-out at a world-wide Olympic sports event? Remain silent?
…Christians who actually “follow” what Jesus taught have a legitimate biblical basis for speaking-out. We are morally obligated to speak up. We must speak with compassion and love (Ephesians 4:15). We must boldly stand for God.

6. Obey God rather than man. Resist the evils of this world 1 Peter 1:14.
The Way of Jesus is a better way – a narrow road that leads to God’s Holy Kingdom. I am determined to not deviate from it. How ’bout you?
