Jesus Christ is in you—
unless indeed
you fail the test
and are rejected
as counterfeit
– 2 Corinthians 13:5
PIC: from Holly Pivec book, Counterfeit Kingdom
God is testing you. Did you know this?
If Jesus Himself told you, “Today if you died, you would not enter My Holy Kingdom Heaven.” Or “You are an apostate believer!” Would you believe Him? Site search: Apostate
Did you know God is putting you to the test? He is testing us all. He wants to know for sure your faithfulness to Him. Although He already knows, of course, He is proving it for the record. God is:
“testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and all your soul [your entire being].”
– Deuteronomy 13:1-3 NASB
God uses this standard: Being 100% given over to Jesus (re: Not sinless, but committed 100% to Him, no holding-back.) That is how we know if we are truly saved.
Getting saved transforms our entire being. Have you been transformed? It will show with this test.
Want to know God’s test results? It may be your test results check-off as:
– o Saved – ⊗ Not Saved.
There are other test indicators for us to use to understand what God looks for.
What God looks for – in you
How does God decide whether you are saved or you are not saved? If not approved by God, somewhere along the line you went your own way, not God’s Way. That is easy to do.
How do you do with these tests?
- What saves you? (ie: If you were to die today, why would God accept you into His Kingdom?)
- Are you denying Jesus?
- Are you attending an apostate church?
- Do you have “a cracked heart“?
- Are you in agreement with what Jesus taught? Or:
- Are you supporting issues He Himself does not?
- What clearly saves and what obviously does not save?
Differences between the goats and the sheep
God knows the sheep of His pasture. It is easy for Him to judge the difference between the goats and the sheep. He will separate them in the final judgement (Matthew 25:31-46). See: The Moment of IF
* A good tree does not produce bad fruit.
Matthew 7:17
Even so,
every healthy tree
bears good fruit,
but the unhealthy tree
bears bad fruit.
* The good seed produces good fruit – Galatians 5:22-23 …The Good Fruit List
“So produce fruit that is consistent with repentance [demonstrating new behavior that proves a change of heart, and a conscious decision to turn away from sin]”
– Matthew 3:8
Jesus will not accommodate His reality to your wishes and to your beliefs.

He is not obliged to you for anything Dictionary. He is not trying to do you a favor.
He invites us to enter into His Kingdom. He does not promise to build you your own kingdom! The ditties “Have it your way” and “I did it my way…” do not apply to God’s way.

Who are these false teachers?
“False teachers are church leaders who reject the Bible or portions of the Bible
– they reject the gospel preached by Jesus, Paul and Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John… and
they begin to teach “another gospel” which is not the one from Jesus.
These false teachers begin practicing unbiblical practices and
lead astray their flocks into their own gospel.
These false prophets come from “within” Christian churches.”

What actually saves you
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the faith that Jesus calls us to follow. Any other faith will keep you on the road to destruction. Only Jesus’ Gospel saves.
Jesus saves and Jesus condemns
About following the goats
New Testament writers John & Paul warn us that goat leaders will come out calling you to follow them in the End Days. About that John & Paul say very plainly: Don’t.
1 Timothy 4: verses 1-2 AMP
But the [Holy] Spirit explicitly and unmistakably declares that in later times some will turn away from the faith, paying attention instead to deceitful and seductive spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 [misled] by the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared as with a branding iron [leaving them incapable of ethical functioning]….
1 John 2:19
19 They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that [a] it would be evident that they all are not of us.
1 John 4:1-3
Beloved, do not believe every spirit [speaking through a self-proclaimed prophet]; instead test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets and teachers have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know and recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges and confesses [the fact] that Jesus Christ has [actually] come in the flesh [as a man] is from God [God is its source]; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus [acknowledging that He has come in the flesh, but would deny any of the Son’s true nature] is not of God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and is now already in the world.
So what is the Bible here warning about?
* “They were not really of us“
* To be saved by God Almighty, we are to be faithful to Him and His Way.
* Our salvation requires repentance – based on Jesus’ message of acceptance.
* For more about true salvation, here is this article written by Brendon Powell: Which Jesus do you serve?
We should all examine and reexamine the faith we are following. Your decision will choose your eternity.
“Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers. Examine yourselves [not me]! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves [by an ongoing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test and are rejected as counterfeit?”
– 2 Corinthians 13:5

Text for this article: Deuteronomy 13:1-3
“If a prophet arises among you, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder which he spoke (foretold) to you comes to pass,
and if he says, ‘Let us follow after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve and worship them,’
3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams;
