Excerpt, adapted from Who is this Jesus of Nazareth?
Really now – who is this Jesus of Nazareth? Many folk tragically follow countless Jesus men who are not really God, just fakers who cannot save them whatsoever — misRepresentations, little “antichrists”.
So, who was the real Jesus Christ anyway, the One they called Jesus the Messiah? The One who really can save us from our sin? Who is He? I want to follow THAT Jesus!
Skip ahead to 13 Things About Jesus
Let’s see Jesus as the Bible shows Him, starting with Hebrews 1:1-4.
1 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
2 [a]in these last days has spoken to us [b]in His Son,
whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the [c]world.
3 [d]And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature,
and [e]upholds all things by [f]the word of His power.
When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent name than they.
God the Father first spoke to the Jewish fathers (“to the fathers”) through the Words He gave to specially chosen prophets, what we now know as the Old Testament prophets. This was done “in many portions and in many ways” (v1 of Hebrews 1).
He spoke “in the prophets” who wrote down His Words on scrolls during the Old Testament era. Miraculously some of the original scrolls were preserved and then discovered by archeologists. They are historical, real records which reflect the authenticity of the Old Testament.
God’s “evidences” convince me. How ’bout you? Take a leap. Use some faith. Quash MirWeb meaning your skepticisms with the facts Jesus left for us to believe in Him. The proofs are there, easy to see.
God spoke (v1 of Hebrews 1) “to the fathers in the prophets“, and then Jesus came down to earth from Heaven – and He Himself spoke words from God the Father (“spoken to us in His Son“). We know from the Bible that yes, God is One, but He is Triune, The Trinity, the “Three-in-One”. And no, He is not Allah or any conglomerate force to be with you. God is uniquely Himself.
Lets examine various Scriptures, especially Verses 2-4 of Hebrews 1. They tell us who Jesus is. Let’s count the ways:
13 Things About Jesus
…The Bible shows us

PIC: Last Supper. Pete Garcia art at rev310.net
1. Jesus is God.
Jesus is God Himself. He is Father God’s Son, “His Son” – the Son of God (also referred to as “son of man”). He was not “procreated” sexually by a man, but is mysteriously an equal entity within the Trinity, the “Three-in-One”. Seven times Jesus declared He is God with His “I am” statements. Miracles He performed were proofs.
2. Heir of all.
God the Father appointed Jesus as “heir of all things”. This shows a hierarchy in the Trinity. See: God as man – the short version
3. Creator God.
Jesus is Creator God. He “made the [c]world”, the universe and all that is.
4. Radiance of Glory.
Jesus is “the radiance of” the Father’s glory. The glory of Father God radiates naturally from Jesus.
5. Exact Father Representation... exact representation of the Father.
Jesus is “the exact representation of” the Father’s nature. Looking at Jesus – we know what Father God is like. Makes sense, since God is Trinity, “Three-in-One”.
6. All powerful.
The power of Jesus is so great that He “upholds all things by [f]the word of His power.” All that He created is actually kept running by His word. Incredible, no?
“…When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,4 having become so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent name than they.”
– Hebrews 1:1-4
7. Legally all-powerful.
Jesus “made purification of sins”. He came to die for us. It is through His death and resurrection, that we can now be born again through His legally powerful purification. In the Courts of Heaven, the death of Jesus paid the penalty of sin, all of it, so that sin can no longer condemn us.

Therefore there is now
no condemnation
[no guilty verdict, no punishment]
for those who are in Christ Jesus
[who believe in Him
as personal Lord and Savior].
– Romans 8:1
8. On Heaven’s Throne.
Jesus sits on the throne of Heaven – “at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (verse 3).
9. Not an angel.
Jesus was NOT a mere angel, not a mere messenger of God. Jesus was “so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent name than they.” Hebrews 1:1-4
10. Born of a virgin.
Jesus was born of a virgin in Bethlehem, Nazareth.

11. God in flesh.
Jesus is God in flesh: John 8:58 with Exodus 3:14. He is real man, and real God – and will be forevermore. He is both God and man: the Godman.
See also: John 1:1, 14; 8:24; 10:30-33; 20:28; Colossians 2:9; Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 1:8.
12. Greatest Prophet.
Besides being Almighty Creator God, Jesus was the greatest of all prophets of all time. He was a prophet, a real man, and God Himself in the flesh.

| Jesus is all man, and all God, for all time |
13. The Damning God.
Jesus is The Damning God. He will give out A God Damn to Hell to all who stay in their unbelief and rebellion against Him.
Hell is real. It’s hot. It’s fiery. It’s dark. Hell is referred to as:
the second death, eternal punishment, outer darkness, pits of darkness, chains of darkness, my bed in the darkness, lake of fire, unquenchable fire, fiery hell, the nether world, Sheol, Gehenna, Hades….

Christ’s Death | by William Lane Craig | at reasonablefaith.org. | Should We Think of Christ’s Death in Juridical Terms? – on the atonement of Christ’s death on the cross (*Romans 3:25, 4:25, 5:18).
See Leon Morris’ The Atonement (Downers Grove, Ill.: IVP, 1983). “In addition to chapters on sacrifice, Passover, Day of Atonement, and so forth (all cultic categories), he also includes a chapter on justification, which underscores the importance of judicial language and categories with respect to the atonement.”
A tough life in Nazareth, by James Martin; LATimes.com Excerpt: He was fully human as well. I’m always amazed by people who feel they can be Christian without caring for the poor. Not only did Jesus command us to do this, Jesus himself was from this class. When God chose to join us, he joined us in Nazareth, to make sure that we wouldn’t forget.
