Have you given any thought as to what God wants? What does God want from you? We are each unique creatures birthed into flesh by God. Life happens to us in seemingly capricious episodes of contrasting good and evil. Is your faith a true faith, a saving faith characterized by giving Jesus your love with “all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength”? That is what God wants. Don’t deny Jesus by your deeds.
Jesus will return soon, just as He left
The Bible says Jesus will return soon “in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.” 10 While they were looking intently into the sky as He was going, two men in white clothing suddenly stood beside them, 11 who said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? […]
After you have suffered for a little while
Pain and suffering, sickness, dying – it’s all part of the curse of God on the world because of sin, because man chose evil over obedience to God. The Fall of Man brought all of this down on us. It will be done away with by Christ – when we get to heaven. But what […]
First, Apostasy, then Antichrist, then the Rapture
God is about to effect change – big time. He is about to say, It’sssss Time – for change. The Apostle Paul gave us the chronological order of how three events of change will go down in The End Times. Seems clear enough. To me that sort of settles any argument about the chronology of events to come.
Feeling insignificant?
It’s all so senseless looking, worthless, waste – and yet there is one ray of light, a hope for now, today, tomorrow
Even if you die, you will live
For the unbeliever – death is the portal to an instant appointment with The Judge, God Himself. For the believer – death is the portal to Heaven. “Even if you die, you will live”, Jesus said.
Choosing God’s greater wealth rather than passing pleasures
– Hebrews 11:39 “…they gained [divine] approval through their faith“… Moses, Abel, Cain, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Abel, Cain, Enoch, Noah, Sarah, Joshua, sons of Israel, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, the prophets, …women, …others. – Hebrews 11 *Read this chapter of “The Hall of Heroes of the Christian Faith” Do you […]
Staying Alive
The faithful have a faith that is staying alive day by day.Through all our struggles, we keep our eyes on Jesus, saying yes to Him and saying no to sin – following Him by faith.
When we face difficult times in our life
God is my hope, my encouragement, my confidence. When we face difficult times in our life, the follower of Christ finds hope and encouragement in the words of God to us – the Bible. God Himself is our hope, our encouragement, our confidence. “We overflow with confidence in His promises.” Romans 15:4-6 4 For whatever was […]
Do not fear, I will help you
God is a loving God, always with us, never away. He helps us in our time of need. Invisible, Almighty God carries us who follow Him.
At your wit’s end
“On God my salvation and my glory rest; He is my rock of [unyielding] strength, my refuge is in God.” – Psalm 62:7 Amplified Bible (AMP) At your wit’s end these days, with all that life is throwing at you now? Are you at the end of your wit? Well, that’s not hard to do. […]
The Good Fruit List
Wow. I want this. I want this inside my insides, streaming from my soul.
The Apostle Paul’s Criticisms
What’s the difference between a critical spirit – and the Apostle Paul’s Pauline criticisms (or Berean thinking). When is criticism okay?
Your useless way of life
I refuse to live a useless life. You know what I mean. A “wood, hay, and stubble” life (1 Corinthians 3:10-15). How about you?
Love forgives others
Love forgives. Plain and simple. Nothing less. Is your love acting, or “failing”? 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others]. Got to have it: “have fervent and unfailing love”. Have it. Have […]
About Nabeel Qureshi
Nabeel Qureshi, formerly a follower of Islam’s Qadyani Ahmadiyya – was an example of extreme Christian faith. He had a very dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity.
My faith
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever does not receive and welcome the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” – Mark 10:15 Excerpt from: More Than Conquerors – In Christ My faith is in Jehovah God, Yahweh, the great “I AM,” the God of forgiveness and […]
About past sins and being forgiven now
The very clear message of Christ is that sinners can be changed when they repent in sincerity and truth, choosing to become God’s true followers. You can have all your sinful past forgiven by God, and be totally accepted into His Forever Family immediately, both here on earth now – and in heaven where we are declared forgiven in His Courts. Don’t be fooled into hell by thinking your sin is legitimate before God.
Fight the good fight
What does it mean to “fight the good fight”? What fight are we in, as believers? Of course, if we are not truly following Christ, then it doesn’t change things one way or the other – whether we fight the good fight or not. But, for those who follow Christ sincerely, it is incumbent upon us to fight, as 1 Timothy 1:18-19 shows us.
Why all my pain and sorrow, my sickness and worries?
…why all my pain and sorrow, sickness and suffering, depressed feelings and worries? It’s from the Fall of Man. The Fall of Man, falling away from God and into sin, is recorded in Genesis 3. We live to see the effects all the way throughout history, all the way into our own times – and […]
Make judgements all day long
In modern day English, the Bible does not say, Do not judge. I hear this a lot. But what the Bible actually means is, “Do not condemn others”. We are to be known by our love, and love is not condemning. Come on Christians! Don’t be known by how condemning you are of those around […]
Get a grip!
“…do this well, fearless in your struggle, keeping a firm grip on your faith and on yourself. After all, this is a fight we’re in.” – 1 Timothy 1:verse 18 The Message (MSG) Life is a fierce battle to the death, a struggle to win against all the forces against us. Keep yourself strong in […]
Balancing-out my faith with my practice
Coming to God on your own terms is like… careening into court dipsy drunk to fight a DUI offense and thinking the judge will forgive you. The reality of God’s universe is — it’s not your universe. It behooves us to seek after God and get His word on things. Our thoughts are not His thoughts. My thoughts will not be consulted by God on That Day.
I am dying
I am dying. And so are you. We’re all under the curse of The Fall, where God cursed the earth and all His creation, because of sin. Sin started back where a man and a woman (Adam and Eve) decided, by their own free will, to contradict God’s word to them, and do what God […]
Our put down, slap down ways
Take today’s challenge: Try “loving” again. “Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly].” – Matthew 7:1 The world around us is chuck-full of fault-finding. You might even find it inside your […]
Quick and Harsh
We all do it. It is so easy. We jump to it! Each of us – we suddenly are harsh and unloving. We jump to judgment, condemning others around us. Our harsh words and attitudes come out of such lovely, innocent faces. We often draw conclusions without all the facts – and then shame and […]
Streaming from my soul
What is streaming from deep inside your soul? What is it, coming out from deep inside you? Jesus said that it is that, what is inside you, that causes us problems. It’s not what’s outside. It’s what’s inside.
A worthy life
Am I supportive of the souls I meet… every day, every meeting of the souls? Or do I dim their soul (put out their light) with my merciless condemnations? I’m not where I want to be, but I’m getting there, one step at a time.
A Healthy Soul
How do you measure the condition of your soul? We are attacked by so many negative pressures around us. Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers (2 Corinthians 13:5).
Who I really really am
The problems of my day today – I won’t let them take away my joy in Christ. I will not let troubles crowd-out who I really am. In Christ – I am more than victorious over everything, because God holds me in His Hands, and promises good to me. He is my Refuge and My Strength. In Him I am up to the challenges. He is my all. I am enough because His Spirit is within me.
