Jesus promised troubles would come our way as His followers. Paul said, “Take with me your share of hardship [passing through the difficulties which you are called to endure], like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.”
Choosing God’s greater wealth rather than passing pleasures
We read in Hebrews 11:39 that Christians, in effect, are those who have “…gained [divine] approval through their faith”. We puny humans are saved by grace through faith alone – not by works. But our “followance” is what gains His divine approval. We must be 100% given-over to Him from the heart.
