PIC: Phony-baloney-faith_goashape-61244. Unsplash What’s the route you’re running — in life? Are you biblical in all you think, all you say, and all you do? I doubt it. Only Jesus was all that! But thank God He is a forgiving God! But, though that, we must recall that He is also another — very much […]
The sweetest thing to grace your town bench
Is it a big deal to have some sin in my life? I was saved way back when. What difference does it make? After all, Jesus saves sinners – right?
Specific salvation parameters to get saved
Salvation does not require being smart, nor knowing it all, nor getting it all right. The thief on the cross was saved on the spot – while hanging there dying. But if we examine what the thief acknowledged… he got it right, and Jesus saved him on the spot. But others went away from Him without salvation. So what’s with that? What does Jesus require?
Got unconfessed sin? Harboring sin makes anyone’s prayers ineffective
With prayer, we love to quote “ask anything…” (1 John 5:14), but many often neglect warnings about repentance (Psalm 66:18) and praying according to His will. God is a given, but prayer depends on “the person in prayer”.
God hears us and wants us to approach Him with sincere and honest prayer
God can hear us. But have you drawn near to Him? He wants us all to approach Him in prayer. Have you received His invitation?
First Repent
To repent of sins is the first step when approaching God in prayer. Repentance changes everything. Do you first repent when you go to God in prayer?
I just want to go to Hell, don’t you?
I quit. It’s too hard to be a Christian. So I think I’ll just quit. I just know I’ll go to Hell, won’t you? (Satire)
You plant your life so carefully and put a fence around it
What will be your life harvest? When on That Day God holds you responsible, will you rejoice then? I will because Jesus is my Savior and Lord.
What was it like – your confession to Jesus?
According to Scripture: Our confession makes our eternity. It decides our ultimate fate: Heaven or Hell. By it, we either land in Heaven when we die, or we land at Jesus’ feet for Judgement Day. What’s it going to be for you?
Do you know yourself well …enough?
How well do you know your heart, your “self”? Do you know yourself well enough to truely align your heart with God’s heart?
Leaving Jesus
What “floats your boat”? The preponderant evidence points to Jesus as God. How on earth does one deny Jesus? Well, it’s clear in the Bible what that is. Unbeliefism. Where are you at with this?
Two trains are at the station
Where you going? You wanna go to Heaven? Be sure to get on the right train.
Are you being warned by the Holy Spirit about being “out”?
Is God warning you about being outside the faith which Jesus Himself shared with His disciples? The faith you receive must not come from those who are “out”. Peter said true salvation is only through “a faith of the same kind as ours” (2 Peter 1:1).
Our defining affirmation of salvation is also here in 1 John
What God does to each of us when we are born again? That is what saves us – what He does to us. But He does not save the “cracked heart”, the one who holds-back anything. Did God save you, or have you deviated into what He is against?
Accepting all that Jesus Christ is and does
Are you one of those that says one thing and does another? Have you thought about that lately? Jesus said “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself….” He has specific parameters for salvation. Nothing less is acceptable to Jesus.
Your disappointment is scheduled
God is calling about your appointment. He will not disappoint.
Those who like it but don’t live it
God wants us all to be saved. But He requires we back up our talk with our walk. Are you a posing as Christian? Got the Chutzpah of a Wannabe? Are you living for Jesus, or for …something else?
That moment of IF when you choose your own thinking
When you keep on blindly walking directly down the road as always, you have missed the crossroad God provided for you. Will you choose to Turn from – Turn to…Jeus? Choose wisely. Decide to follow Jesus.
“Proclaimer of strange deities”
What is “your” God like? Have you engaged in thinking with Jesus? Are you a dyed-in-the-wool, uncompromising atheist, or are you an inquisitive soul? Apostle Paul was engaged in conversation by atheists about his “strange deities”. What is your impression of “dyed-in-Christ” biblical preachers?
Imagine what “being saved” has meant to you
There was a point in my life where I was lost for eternity. I am amazed what salvation has meant to me. What about you?
When you are wrong and just don’t get it
We know what Jesus believes. Do you agree with Him? He gave us a choice to make. Are you good with what Jesus said about being “wrong”?
Understanding “wrong”
Do you understand the severity of being wrong when you stand before the Judge of Eternity? We know what Jesus believes. Do you agree with Him?
Being saved means forever never again condemned
The very clearly delineated message of salvation from Jesus Himself, the Gatekeeper to Heaven, is: “deny himself…”, express “a willingness to endure whatever may come”, and “follow Me” – which means “believing in Me, conforming to My example in living”. It’s free. It’s simple. But it will cost you.
Letting It Reign Until Hell Is Home
If I were to let sin reign in my body, then — what a mess. But I don’t let it. I am not “these things”. I am strong in Him. Only in Him.
Hell Fire Insurance Agents
What is it about what you think and practice every day — that makes it worth going to Hell over? Have you thought of going to Hell next week?
Holy Father, Lord of All
Sitting here before you Lord, my Holy Father, Lord of All, I’m so aware that I’m not holy.
One minute away from the Kingdom of God
How far away are you – from the Holy Kingdom of God? It’s not far, actually. God is not distant. Just one minute… and you can be there.
I have stumbled like a drunk
Are you “pursuing spiritual perfection”? Or: Are you deep in the miry clay, still, lost in your sinfulness? Want to get out? Turn. Get yourself to Jesus through sincere and truthful prayer. Christians do not have to sin. You once turned – to it. And so it is a choice also to turn from it, from what has ensnared you – and turn to Jesus in repentance. It’s a choice: be faithful once again, or stumble like a drunk, eat vomit like a dog, wallow like a pig.
