PIC: Max-Colson. Church of England approves same-sex sex by members. “God’s blessings on you….”
Where is your faith at these days? The world is changing. Is it changing your faith, along with your culture? Or is your faith rock solid with the real, historical Jesus?
Hymenaeus and Alexander (1 Timothy 1:15-20) “made a thorough mess of their faith” by loosening-up the true Gospel. They started thinking “anything goes”.
What kind of belief in Jesus did they have, anyway – – to where “anything goes”? Not my kind of faith. Not the kind of faith of the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul.
Hymenaeus and Alexander made up a faith diametrically opposite to Jesus’ Gospel of salvation through repentance. I wonder how long it took them to arrive at that? Have you come to that same place?
“Anything goes”
“Anything Goes” is like Easy Beliefism:
“Easy! Just simplify faith: “God is love! God died for everyone! No real choice involved here, really. Our loving God will lovingly accept where you’re at. Just be loving.” That is an “anything goes” false faith.“
Paul warned us of how faith can wander from Christ. Soon many will be with the Pope and his One World Religion, believing “anything goes”. What Paul wrote:
“This is a faithful and trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance and approval, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners….” – 1 Timothy 1:15-20
Our thinking can get twisted (torked) so easily. We can get drawn into a practice (sinful practice) and …soon we are defending it in our heart. We sell-out to it. Been there?

Repentance from…
Far from the faith of the Pope, what Jesus taught, and what His chosen apostles 1 taught, was:
Salvation by Jesus
requires
repentance from sin.
God is calling us to listen to Jesus’ message, or your sin will damn your soul to hell.
He loves us just as we are, sinful sinful sinful humans. However, God does ask us to repent of our sin. You most certainly don’t want to be a fake Christian, one of the many God Damned “Believers”, especially during these Apostate days of the End Times.

Don’t listen to false prophets in those NAR type churches, shooting off with words they claim are God’s Words. They lie. Acts says: Open your eyes.
“…that they may turn
from darkness to light,
and from
the [a]power of Satan to God,
that they may receive
forgiveness of sins
and an inheritance
among those who have been
sanctified by faith in Me.’
– Acts 26:18
Turn from
Can Jesus forgive you? Absolutely! God forgives all wrongdoings of all repentant sinners, no exception. The clincher is: “turn from darkness to light”, turn “from the power of Satan to God”.
God does not
forgive anything
of any
unrepentant heart
Expecting Jesus has saved them
Sinners still freely sinning — absolutely cannot walk confidently forward with Jesus. Living in their sin and — expecting that Jesus has saved them? Not a chance in Hell. None can. Not a one. It goes against His holiness. God is that extreme!
You absolutely cannot
be living in sin
and
expect that Jesus has saved you.
The free sinners walk …expecting Jesus has saved them
That is the very walk that the Church of England started this month. (Well, actually have been walkin’ for a long time.). See their statement.
See: Another denomination ditches Christianity to start its own religion
Jason Mattera wrote that the Church of England has charted
“a course that can only be described as consciously divorcing themselves from the historic teachings of the Christian faith.”
“Around a century ago, renowned biblical scholar J. Gresham Machen was alarmed by the creeping secular humanism he saw invading institutional Christian spaces, which prompted him to issue this sharp rebuke via his book Christianity and Liberalism:
“[W]hat the liberal theologian has retained
after abandoning to the enemy
one Christian doctrine after another
is not Christianity at all,
but a religion
which is so entirely different from Christianity
as to belong in a distinct category.”
Receive God’s blessing …says the Anglicans
In the NPR article by Bill Chappell, Church of England OKs blessings for same-sex couples, but it still won’t marry them: [see the telling faces of Members of the Church of England General Synod – from this Getty Image from NPR]
“…they can “come to church after a civil marriage or civil partnership to give thanks, dedicate their relationship to God and receive God’s blessing,” according to the measure.”
So, now the Church of England, also called the Anglican Church, (“boasting a whopping 85 million members located in 165 countries” – per Jason Mattera) will officially bless same-sex couples. They will say (contrary to Jesus’ teachings):
“God’s blessings
be upon you
in your same-sex sex.”
God bless evil?
God does not bless evil. He cannot condone or “wish well on” any sin of any kind. Why on earth would God bless what He has damned? The Gospel of Christ is unchanging.
Or did a Church of England prophet hear God say: “Ollie ollie oxen free free free“, “come out, come out, wherever you are”? “Sin is now free free free“? 2
Jesus requires repentance …John 3:1-21
No repentance – no salvation. No salvation – still living under condemnation.
A new life must be given to a sinner. And that new life comes through repentance. Jesus said, “Unless a man be born again…” he cannot see the Kingdom of Heaven (John 3:3). As sinners in need of salvation, we must die to sin (Colossians 3:1-4), not continue in our sin as if it is not “sin”.
1 Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead]… 3 For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.
– Colossians 3:1-4
“You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart, and
with all your soul, and
with all your strength, and
with all your mind;
and your neighbor as yourself.”
– Luke 10:27
(Also: Matthew 22:37; Mark 12:30)
“That’s a lot! “All.” How much do you love God? You have a big heart, a deep, deep soul, lots of strength, and a huge mind! What’s in there?! Are you all for God in all of you, or …partially?”

Paul wrote to Timothy saying,
9-20 There are some, you know, who by relaxing their grip and thinking anything goes have made a thorough mess of their faith. Hymenaeus and Alexander are two of them. I let them wander off to Satan to be taught a lesson or two about not blaspheming. – Verses 19-20 of 1 Timothy 1:15-20
Do you know some? Friends who gave in, relaxed their grip, and slowly conformed to the world.
thinking anything goes
The way of the world is: thinking anything goes.
1 Timothy 1:15-20 The Message (MSG) [Or see the Amplified version]
15-19 Here’s a word you can take to heart and depend on: Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. I’m proof—Public Sinner Number One—of someone who could never have made it apart from sheer mercy. And now he shows me off—evidence of his endless patience—to those who are right on the edge of trusting him forever.
Deep honor and bright glory
to the King of All Time—
One God, Immortal, Invisible,
ever and always. Oh, yes!
I’m passing this work on to you, my son Timothy. The prophetic word that was directed to you prepared us for this. All those prayers are coming together now so you will do this well, fearless in your struggle, keeping a firm grip on your faith and on yourself. After all, this is a fight we’re in.
19-20 There are some, you know, who by relaxing their grip and thinking anything goes have made a thorough mess of their faith. Hymenaeus and Alexander are two of them. I let them wander off to Satan to be taught a lesson or two about not blaspheming.
