Saying I have no sin
We are all so sinful. Incomplete. Guess that goes without saying.. but there are many today who say sin is irrelevant, and they are not sinning. Odd. The Bible says,
8 If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude ourselves and the truth is not in us. [His word does not live in our hearts.]
9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].
10 If we say that we have not sinned [refusing to admit acts of sin], we make Him [out to be] a liar [by contradicting Him] and His word is not in us.
Keeping Sin…refusing guilt
Many enlightened folks want to keep a pet sin. (They call it “not a sin”?) They want to take their “not-a-sin” to Heaven when they go there! Like God is really going to change His Holy Home Heaven so that practicing sinners can go throughout eternity — living in sin… with Him?

They “are confusing compassion and love for others with God’s marvelous grace. Many are now exchanging His grace for inclusivity.”

To provide forgiveness
This is why Jesus came to earth and hung on a cruel cross: to provide eternal forgiveness for our sinfulness. This is what life is all about: being set free from sin… getting right with God now — so we are ready for an eternity with Him.
Condemning Others
Sinning is so common. But why does any “forgiven sinner” condemn any practicing sinner?
Odd. Jesus did not. The NT writers did not. So why do we, those who have freely received, often condemn?
Jesus was compassionate and loving towards individuals.
And we …are not? What what what?
“I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another.
By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.”
– John 13:34-35
Loving people as Christ loved
Christ loves all people, all individuals, all of us. He died for all of us. No matter the sin of the individual – Jesus treated that person with acceptance and love… not with a belittling attitude of condemning.
He was rough on some, however, like with:
* with the greedy money-changers in the Temple (John 2:13-16), and
* with the phony baloney religious leaders (Matthew 23:1-33).
See: Mark them which cause divisions…and avoid them.) There is a time and a place to be non-affirming.
After all, God will eventually give-over the recalcitrant unbeliever (Mirriam-Webster: recalcitrant). Eventually He no longer works to bring them to Himself. And after this life, sure as Hell God will eventually condemn sinners who have rejected His offer of forgiveness.
Non-condemning
For now, He and we on earth, are here to love others – not condemn. The incident in John 8:1-11 of the adulterous woman brought to Jesus for condemning… is an example of Jesus’ non-condemning treatment of sinners. He concluded with “go and sin no more” (Verse 11 of John 8:1-11).
God never condones sin. It is never right in God’s sight — to accept our sin. Sin always goes against God’s will for us. But while on earth, we and the Spirit are here to show love, be loving, be kind… to others, to those who have not yet accepted Christ. We are God’s love shown on earth (even as imperfect as we may shine).
Take a stance on homosexuality
For example, I like this stance on loving the gay person:
“People are not to be considered an issue, rather, they are to be loved. Regardless of their views, their stance or lifestyle relating to the LGBT community, or anything else.” 1
Nowhere in Jesus’ teachings did He say to condemn sinners, hate on them, insult and make jokes about them, put them down, unfriend them, and all that. We are to “love your neighbor as yourself”. THAT goes for all sinners of all stripes.
Do you have an attitude that comes across that says:
“I am better than you because I don’t deal with the egregious abomination of homosexuality”? 2
Even as born again – our sins are egregious to God, every bit as much as those still lost in their sin. Jesus’ love of others must extend through us — to sinners of all the types you can think of.
Sins we love…Pleasure and bad behaviors we love to fall for
Getting stuck in ruts of sin is easy. We do that by accepting what God does not. That is anathema.
How does Jesus respond to those who willfully practice sin?
15 So He said to them, “You are the ones who declare yourselves just and upright in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts [your thoughts, your desires, your secrets]; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God. – Luke 16:15
“By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.” – John 13:35
Not to judge and condemn the world
The adulterous woman (John 8:1-11) is an example of Jesus’ non-condemning treatment of sinners. He concluded with “go and sin no more”.
Sin is condemnable. But He did not disparage the sinner (Mirriam-Webster: disparage). Jesus Himself did not come to earth to condemn. We must show them the truth, but do it in love.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him.
– Verse 17 of John 3:14-18
“all people have a story and all people matter to God.” 3
What is acceptable to God
The Bible pinpoints what is acceptable to God, and what is not. It warns us to NOT get into what is unacceptable to God. It is a warning of love for those who are into sin, whether you be redeemed or still lost:
1 Corinthians 6:9
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [by perversion], nor those who participate in homosexuality,
Revelation 22:15
Outside are the dogs [the godless, the impure, those of low moral character] and the sorcerers [with their intoxicating drugs, and magic arts],
and the immoral persons [the perverted, the molesters, and the adulterers], and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying (deception, cheating).
See: | God’s Sin List |
| God’s List of Unacceptables |
| What is Good and what is Not |
Nowadays, living in these End Times, it is rather easy to slip into accepting the ways around us, give-in to the feeding of our old nature… and conform to the world. We are in danger – consorting with what is not of God.
Are you conforming to the world, or following Christ?
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
1 Peter 1:14
[Live] as obedient children [of God]; do not be conformed to the evil desires which governed you in your ignorance [before you knew the requirements and transforming power of the good news regarding salvation].

Ways to loose it with God Excerpt: God is not impressed
“It doesn’t matter who you think you are, God is not impressed. He will judge all of us on an equal basis. And when God calls a sin, “sin”, it is.“Accepting Christ as your Savior” and then, calling what He calls sin “okay” and permissible!?
You, on what basis do you declare anything as “okay” when Holy God condemned it? God says that those who walk that way are still in their sins, under condemnation.”– Source: Contradicting Jesus.
