You can have messy theologies – you just can’t have a messy salvation.
You can be a lunkhead, have wrong-headed thinking, be all kinds of stupid that disagrees with God… but, you can’t start a journey with Jesus by you telling Him, “This is how we’re doing this….”
No. The Truth is: Jesus already decided “how we are to do this.”
Jesus only saves those who follow Him in obedience. And that obedience starts with your confession: humbling prayer, a confession of sin to Jesus, repenting of sin, and following Him. Anything less, or more than that, is you talking to yourself out in a cornfield somewhere all alone. Because Jesus does not accept that kind of confession of faith.
Adding more to that message of His? Leaving out something He specified? Then it is not Jesus’ Way John 14:6. It is your way.
So you think you can save yourself your own way? Mixing your thought with Jesus’s, syncronizing with another religion syncretism, following false teachers and phoney prophets, adding extraneous religious practices from The Dark Side… to your “Christian faith”?
That is messy salvation. And messy salvation leaves you still bound for Hell.

Think about this carefully.
If Jesus said, “Do this….” (I’ve listed His “do this” Pure Gospel verses about salvation for you to read) but you somehow add to that, or take away… then you are changing His salvation plan. You are then not going with His offer. It is now not the saving grace of Jesus.
You have said I have a better plan: “Do this more or less, and do this and that…”
Faith involves believing that God has the right answer for your sin problem. Have you followed the wrong crowd into a wrong system of believe, that has the wrong salvation message, and is on the wrong road to eternity?
FOR MORE:
Life is hurried and confusing at times. You may have wandered into Wrongheaded Land. Maybe you have accepted Jesus as Savior, but …not really. Scripture says to “examine yourselves….” 2 Corinthians 13:5.
_________
2 Corinthians 13:5
5 Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers. Examine yourselves [not me]! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves [by an ongoing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test and are rejected as counterfeit?
If you fail the test, then you “are rejected as counterfeit“.
Specific salvation parameters Jesus absolutely requires…Jesus already decided “how we are to do this.”
Jesus said “Good answer. Do it. And you’ll live. Excerpt: “What do I need to do to get eternal life?” He [Jesus] answered, “What’s written in God’s Law?
The Way to Salvation always involves obedience to Jesus…Jesus only saves those who obey Him
The one-off offer Jesus makes to everyone…His offer to us
God can save you…don’t try to save yourself your own way
20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. 22 And have mercy on some, who are doubting; 23 save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.
24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, 25 to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
Speaking with love about what is true and what is false
Excerpt: If we carefully read Scripture, we are sure to see horribly false teachings are rampant in many churches today. They form a NARcissistic gospel.
It is incumbent upon us to warn others of the actual false teachers and their false teachings. Paul and John and Jude warned about this (2 Corinthians 11:4). Let’s examine where Jude urges us to “contend for the faith”, “fight strenuously for the faith”, defend the faith.

“Good answer!” said Jesus. “Do it and you’ll live.”

When it comes to God – who wants mere opinions?
There is a broad road that says Heaven but goes to Hell Excerpt:
Heaven has room for all humankind.
There is still room for you in Heaven. (Happily, God has “vacancies”.) But so sadly few there be, that go far enough in their spiritual journey to actually give themselves 100% to Jesus. He is a jealous God. (Exodus 34:14) What He requires of us is that we give our soul to Him completely, exclusively.
He does not require 100% faithfulness, nor 100% sinlessness, nor 100% obedience all the time, nor 100% perfection and maturity! Thank you Jesus! But He requires a heart given-over to Him 100%.
13 “Enter through the narrow gate;
for the gate is wide
and the way is broad
that leads to destruction,
and there are many who enter through it.
14 For the gate is small
and the way is narrow
that leads to life,
and there are few who find it.
– Matthew 7: verses 13-14
The Great Water Down of Jesus’ Message to us all…a watered down gospel has no saving power
What saves us…God’s Way is what saves us
Want it Excerpt: The first step to discovering God is wanting to. He is there, but I’ve got to want to know more about Him. I choose to – or not.

God’s Home Heaven…Do you know how to get there?
Staying Alive Excerpt: Let’s talk about “salvation in Christ” versus “fake faith”. What’s up with you, amigo?
* Salvation goes hand-in-hand with “Christian life”. If you have no Christian life, then you have no salvation.
* If the core of your being rejects parts and pieces of what Christ taught, then you have no salvation.
