Nabeel Qureshi, formerly a follower of Islam’s Qadyani Ahmadiyya – was an example of extreme Christian faith. He had a very dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity.
My faith
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever does not receive and welcome the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” – Mark 10:15 Excerpt from: More Than Conquerors – In Christ My faith is in Jehovah God, Yahweh, the great “I AM,” the God of forgiveness and […]
About past sins and being forgiven now
The very clear message of Christ is that sinners can be changed when they repent in sincerity and truth, choosing to become God’s true followers. You can have all your sinful past forgiven by God, and be totally accepted into His Forever Family immediately, both here on earth now – and in heaven where we are declared forgiven in His Courts. Don’t be fooled into hell by thinking your sin is legitimate before God.
I am a Christian because…
I am a Christian because… the Bible is too good to have been a fabrication of man. It had to have been orchestrated – by God. I am a Christian because… of tangible evidence of the divinity of Christ. He fulfilled over 360 prophecies written about the coming Messiah – way too many to have been completed by chance. Christ was God in human form. I am a Christian because…
Fight the good fight
What does it mean to “fight the good fight”? What fight are we in, as believers? Of course, if we are not truly following Christ, then it doesn’t change things one way or the other – whether we fight the good fight or not. But, for those who follow Christ sincerely, it is incumbent upon us to fight, as 1 Timothy 1:18-19 shows us.
Why all my pain and sorrow, my sickness and worries?
Why has my life be so full of pain and sorrow, sickness and worries? God is perfect and created all things. What’s with that!
Make judgements all day long
In modern day English, the Bible does not say, Do not judge. I hear this a lot. But what the Bible actually means is, “Do not condemn others”. We are to be known by our love, and love is not condemning. Come on Christians! Don’t be known by how condemning you are of those around […]
Get a grip!
“…do this well, fearless in your struggle, keeping a firm grip on your faith and on yourself. After all, this is a fight we’re in.” – 1 Timothy 1:verse 18 The Message (MSG) Life is a fierce battle to the death, a struggle to win against all the forces against us. Keep yourself strong in […]
Balancing-out my faith with my practice
Coming to God on your own terms is like… careening into court dipsy drunk to fight a DUI offense and thinking the judge will forgive you. The reality of God’s universe is — it’s not your universe. It behooves us to seek after God and get His word on things. Our thoughts are not His thoughts. My thoughts will not be consulted by God on That Day.
I am dying
I am dying. And so are you. We’re all under the curse of The Fall, where God cursed the earth and all His creation, because of sin. Sin started back where a man and a woman (Adam and Eve) decided, by their own free will, to contradict God’s word to them, and do what God […]
Our put down, slap down ways
Take today’s challenge: Try “loving” again. Why judge and criticize and condemn? Quit the quick and harsh attitude.
Quick and Harsh
We all do it. It is so easy. We jump to it! Each of us – we suddenly are harsh and unloving. We jump to judgment, condemning others around us. Our harsh words and attitudes come out of such lovely, innocent faces. We often draw conclusions without all the facts – and then shame and […]
Streaming from my soul
What is streaming from deep inside your soul? What is it, coming out from deep inside you? Jesus said that it is that, what is inside you, that causes us problems. It’s not what’s outside. It’s what’s inside.
A worthy life
Am I supportive of the souls I meet… every day, every meeting of the souls? Or do I dim their soul (put out their light) with my merciless condemnations? I’m not where I want to be, but I’m getting there, one step at a time.
A Healthy Soul
How do you measure the condition of your soul? We are attacked by so many negative pressures around us. Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers (2 Corinthians 13:5).
Who I really really am
The problems of my day today – I won’t let them take away my joy in Christ. I will not let troubles crowd-out who I really am. In Christ – I am more than victorious over everything, because God holds me in His Hands, and promises good to me. He is my Refuge and My Strength. In Him I am up to the challenges. He is my all. I am enough because His Spirit is within me.
I’m not what he says I am
I am what God says I am. God says I am a brand new creature — in Christ. I am not the sum total of all my sins. Why?
Behaving Stupidly
Arrogance and pride. So easy to see in others. So difficult to see in myself. The example of Christ leads to rational self evaluation.
The model said “sorry mom”
This article made me wonder: how “public” about our faith are we in this land of the free? Does anything “register” with other people — about our faith? Do people that meet me – soon come to know of my faith in Christ as my Savior? Do I care whether they know or not? Does it matter?
Is Jesus Savior no more?
It appears that, for the majority in the USA, Jesus is Savior no more. Even though the Supreme Court ruled against taking down the cross, citizens continue to remove Christ from their view.
My best day here
“Now” is good – so immediate… so absorbing. Demands so much attention. I practice being here – now. That’s good. Heaven is so…”later”, so not-pressing, so very “out of sight – out of mind”, so abstract. I am here now, but I want to be more aware of where I am going when I die. Where are you going when you die?
The Hand of God
The life you are living — is it ready and able, for the Lord? It might be small, not so great, but He wants us ready to serve Him with this life — while we have breath. Actually try to do the deed. What do we miss out on? What do we miss — because we do not take the time to understand what God has for us …in the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16)? It is all laid-out for us so we can understand Him better. How much do we not understand about God’s power in us and around us? Live daily with the expectation that the hand of God is upon you.
God is available to all
God actually hears us. He answers us when we pray. He cared enough to come to earth. He cared enough to die on Calvary’s cross for us, so why would we doubt that He cares enough to answer our expressed need? Do not fear – God will hear.
Your Thinking or God’s Word?
Vain, puffed up minds vs. God’s clear Word. What’s it going to be — for you? Have you closely examined your beliefs? Do you believe it really matters – what you believe? What matters? Does it make a difference with God, what you think? Is your belief about God really from God – or have you fallen for the tricky, deceptive words of the Serpent?
Legitimate irritability
Legitimate irritability. Ever see any yourself? Ever catch some from somebody – irritability? Do you legitimize your irritable ways? Recognize it in yourself? …that change of inflection revealing your irritability? You snap out a word. If you really go with it (the irritable feeling), you get stern, your voice rises, louder. Remember as a kid, […]
Measuring Your Net Worth
…be careful how you build on Jesus, our foundation How do you prepare your wealth to survive a disaster? Where are you safeguarding your wealth? Do you put your wealth into “wood, hay, straw” type of quality? Well that won’t work. That “treasure” will get all burned up! You’ll end up with nothing in the […]
Not by strength – by God!
We do not “stay saved” by holding on desperately to His Hand, careful not to fall into Hell. His act of saving us is His act, and it is eternal.
Why worry? Trust God
Jesus taught us how to have perfect peace in the midst of stress and troubles. Don’t we all want perfect peace in our inner soul? If we worry and fret over many things – it is because we try to live focused on God AND …some other “master”. “You cannot serve God and wealth [m […]

Luke 6:46. Do what I say
