How will you “be found” when Jesus returns? Our aim as His followers, of course, is to…
“…be found by Him spotless and blameless, in peace….verse 14
– 2 Peter 3:10-18
But there are pressures at play around us. We must be careful not to act on misInterpretations of Scripture.
17 Therefore, [let me warn you] beloved, knowing these things beforehand, be on your guard
so that you are not carried away by the error of [b]unprincipled men [who distort doctrine]
and fall from your own steadfastness [of mind, knowledge, truth, and faith],
18 but grow [spiritually mature] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory (honor, majesty, splendor), both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
– 2 Peter 3:10-18 – Verses 17 and 18
We are warned: Some “people of faith” will be
1- “…carried away by the error of unprincipled men” [b the people who teach a distorted doctrine]. These false teachers are they “[who distort doctrine]”
2- “and fall from your own steadfastness [of mind, knowledge, truth, and faith]”
Sometimes a doctrine in the Bible is just tweaked a bit, twisted just a little, distorted just enough to change what the original doctrine is teaching. That is how false teachers deceive the unaware. And… off we go!
Excerpt from:Those who are “people of faith”
The standard set by Jesus
The standard set by Jesus differs drastically from the standards set by all other faiths – all of them. We must remember: God Himself gives eternal life — not phony religious gurus and false teachers. I choose to follow Jesus Himself, follow His words that He left behind for us to read.
Beware: Jesus taught that there is “the faith” that saves (His Gospel), and there is “another faith” that does not save. Did your faith save you? The faith type where “anything goes” is a deceiving faith, not a saving faith.
The truly saved have a faith that will never fail them. Saved on the spot – Jesus secured our eternal salvation. Our salvation is so secure – we can never lose it.
“Not one is lost” Matthew 18:14. Scripture assures us. It is sometimes helpful to “confirm & affirm” our salvation:
Excerpt from: Confirm & affirm why Jesus will accept me
I confirm my salvation – in His Word
Because I am a bit of a lunkhead MirWeb, periodically I must remind myself why Jesus will accept me into His Holy Kingdom. I’m still not holy. And that drags on me. I’m workin’ at it, however.
I am almost perfect (in the sense of: I am old, and almost dead and into Heaven!) – but I’ll have to wait and pass on through to the other side for active perfection. Hardly can wait for that day! 2 Corinthians 5:1-10
Soon Jesus will return –
and then, I will be perfect.
I will be perfect at last! I will say,
“Thank God I’m perfect at last!”
– Source: I am almost perfect
Keep on’a growin’
So we are to make sure we “grow [spiritually mature] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory (honor, majesty, splendor), both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
– Verse 18 of 2 Peter 3:10-18

Me when I die… forgiven Excerpt: Man’s ways are often not His ways. Yet He tells us what is expected of us (Deuteronomy 30:16).
In that Judgement Day,
my right and wrong “as I see it”,
my “it’s okay to be impure” attitude,
my excuses for fornication,
my boyfriend-girlfriend sex,
my “sexual preference”,
my same-sex sex,
my fetus farming science,
my baby killing abortion choice,
my “the ends justify the means” way of life,
… will not stand in the Court of God.

Acting on MisInterpretations of Scripture
Pure Gospel – nothing added, nothing taken out
Me when I die, still in sin Excerpt:
Believe in the name of Jesus Excerpt: What God requires of us is so, so simple: “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved”. (Acts 16:31; John 3:16; 1 Peter 1) Right now, this moment, you can receive forgiveness from God and know that God will receive you into His kingdom:
Confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord,
and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead
and you will be saved.
