When I accepted God´s offer of salvation, God then and there forgave me and accepted me as His child. The battle is then to maintain our life holy, strong in Him. Even after becoming a child of the King, we have the option to ¨offer our body to sin¨(Romans 6) and shipwreck this life we live on earth. Once we are His, we are then to live in a manner that pleases our Jesus Christ – our Lord.

Is God truly “free”? This topic has been discussed by many, and the conclusions have been either one way or the other. Here is what I find in the Bible about it.
God never changes. Never has. Never will.
The Bible teaches that God cannot change. This is taught in the following verses.
Is it possible for God to be free?
If God is free, then man can be free as well if he chooses to believe in Christ. Jesus, who is God (John 8:58), said that he can make man free (John 8:32, 36). And by making man free, man is free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:32). Salvation in Christ sets us free.
God and Man have free will with which to make a choice
Choice is from God. He is a God of choice. He chose to create us. Then He chose to make it possible to forgive us. What choice will you make about God?
