It was quite a religious world back in the day… filled with rituals and animal sacrifices. But now, in Jesus, the sacrifice of animals is “obsolete”. No longer needed.
The revealing of Jesus ushered in a better way to forgive sins. Actually, it was part of God’s plan of the ages since before day one. Jesus was the Perfect Lamb of God for this great event John 1:29.
The birth of God, Jesus, brought a New Covenant to earth which fulfilled the first covenant of the Law, making the old way of sacrifice and ritual unnecessary, “obsolete” Hebrews 8:13, Hebrews 9:15.
This Covenant did not make the Old Testament obsolete, as the apostate NAR-types preach. It is still Truth for today.
Once for all – forever
Jesus purposely came to earth to suffer and die on our behalf – once – for all time Hebrews 10:10. He is the final sacrifice for the sins of mankind. Hallelujah for that!
Hebrews 10:10
And in accordance with this will [of God] we [who believe in the message of salvation] have been sanctified [that is, set apart as holy for God and His purposes] through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) once for all.
This one verse of Hebrews 10:10 explains The New Covenant:
It had always been God’s plan to make a permanent solution for our sinfulness. He established The Way for us to be saved. Scripture tells us we can be saved by believing in Jesus and His Message.
Through His forgiveness we are made absolutely perfect in His Courts. We have been made (note the past tense) brand new creatures, “set apart as holy for God and His purposes”.
We’ve been called to this higher plain, this ultra level of living life. And it was all made possible by His voluntary sacrifice on the cross. THAT fulfilled God’s Holy system of justice – forever. It was done “once for all“.
Excerpt from: The New Covenant
“What was the first covenant? It was the old Judaism – a practice of daily animal sacrifice for sins. God set that up in Old Testament days — looking forward to the day of the fulfillment of “the mystery of salvation”.”

| The Mystery of the Gospel has been revealed |
“THAT (the Judaic daily animal sacrifices; the old Levitical priestly ministry) is no longer necessary. It is “obsolete” in Jesus. We now have Jesus! The Mystery of the Gospel has been revealed – in Jesus.”
The Jews were God’s special people. After Abraham – God set up a special building for worship, a Tabernacle. It was a symbol for what Jesus later brought into effect with His New Covenant.
“…this [first or outer tabernacle] is a symbol [that is, an archetype or paradigm] for the present time.
– Hebrews 9:9-10
Jesus brought Christianity
It was a huge move Jesus started. He moved away from the Judaic System — which He Himself had initiated with His chosen people. And He started a New Covenant with any and all who would choose to follow Him as Savior and Lord.
God invites us to come into His Presence directly: no intermediary priest, no dividing curtain, no restricted Holy of Holies, no rituals like the washing of hands. Jesus only always for all times.

“And when he had called the people
unto him with his disciples also,
he said unto them,
Whosoever will come after me,
let him deny himself,
and take up his cross,
and follow me.”
– Mark 8:34
The message of Jesus is so very, very clear: confess, repent and follow Me. He is very explicit, very definite about what it takes to “come after me“. Have you made that move yourself?
His Way is not a mishmash of amalgomated religious thought. No wishywashy “whatever” kind of useless faith can even come close to getting you into Heaven. Where do you want to go after being here on earth a short time?
Only Jesus’ Way is able to meet His specificities for salvation. We “get saved” only as we accept Him personally. He is at the door waiting for you. That is how much He loves you John 3:14-18.
Has it happened yet? Has Jesus made you brand new inside? Are you a brand new creation in Jesus? 2 Corinthians 5:17
Have you changed your Eternity for the good? Make it happen. I will forever be grateful I did.
