Failure to believe God

We have nothing to fear but failure to believe God. That is certainly enough fear for me.

Hebrews 10:26 Christ or Judgment
“For if we go on willfully and deliberately sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice [to atone] for our sins [that is, no further offering to anticipate]….”

As it is written and forever remains written, “There is none righteous [none that meets God’s standard], not even one.

Still afraid? When we fail to believe God, fail to take Him at His Word, then we fail God.101 – because He is where it all started, and He alone will finish it. Jesus the Godman said,

⁷Do not be surprised that I have told you, ‘You must be born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].’ – John 3:7 (Context: 3:1-16)

Here now is where our real life starts. And it goes on from here – believing Him at every step of the way. I live with confidence because my name is written by God in His Book of Life. How ’bout your name?

A simple, willful and deliberate flesh and blood lifestyle has a limited shelf life. And its not going anywhere good! It ends in eternal existence without anything good. It is missing the truth that God has revealed to us:

Our life is a struggle against “spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places“.

Still think it’s all about money, sex, fun and games, and BBQ’s with friends and family? Think again.

No longer live for yourself
Life is not merely a physical world of flesh and blood and bad politicians. We have been placed on this fantastic planet earth — with spiritual proportions. Failure to believe God’s spiritual reality is an eternal failure. He is eternal. Our body is not.

Jesus has a one-off offer for as long as our body lives — for whoever will listen. Only His salvation meets His prerequisites for entry into His Holy Holy Kingdom. Are you listening yet?

2 Corinthians 4:14
….He who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus and will present us [along] with you in His presence.

2 Corinthians 5:15
…He died for all, so that all those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and was raised for their sake.

Once we truly believe in Jesus (in the biblical sense of “believe”) then there is nothing to fear. I fear no evil for God is with me.

John 17:3
Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true [supreme and sovereign] God, and [in the same manner know] Jesus [as the] Christ whom You have sent.

Proverbs 12:28
In the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death [but immortality—eternal life].

Our life is a struggle
against “spiritual forces
of wickedness
in the heavenly
(supernatural) places“.

Do you want to be “recorded for eternal life“? Then you must believe God.

Isaiah 4:3
It will come to pass that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy (set apart for God)—everyone who is recorded for [eternal] life in Jerusalem.

We have nothing to fear
but failure to believe God. ¹

³⁵Do not, therefore, fling away your [fearless] confidence, for it has a glorious and great reward. ³⁶For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.
