FOR MORE
1 John 1:9
If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].
We just want to be with Jesus
Don’t you? Isn’t that what having a faith is all about? We don’t want to live with Satan! Not one minute, much less for eternity! That evil one will be locked-up in Hell for all eternity together with those humans who rejected Jesus. Have you rejected Jesus?
You don’t have to do anything to get into Hell. Access is open. Just be yourself on earth…without Jesus as your Savior! Hell is a free place you get to go to after this life. It’s an “ollie ollie oxen — free free free” place. See Definition.
We want to live the way everlasting — with Jesus. Right? Of course! See: The way everlasting – Psalm 139:23-24
Heaven, however, is not a free place you get to go to “just for the asking”. Nobody goes to Heaven “free”. Jesus paid the cost – all of it…for us. So it isn’t really “free”.
Jesus does freely offer salvation, but getting saved will cost you: It’s called obedience. Yes. Salvation will cost you.
Have you “come to Mount Zion
and to the city of the living God”?
– Hebrews 12:18-24
Those who seek Jesus don’t really want to keep what they have, and miss-out on what Jesus offers. We don’t want to hear man-made religious stuff. Why on earth!?
We want the real thing: We want Words of God, the whole truth — and nothing but the truth. No made-up imaginings by pewsitters — of what they think God said to them!
No half truths. A half-way heaven? Half-way to Heaven is all the way to Hell.

Who wants mere opinions?
When it comes to God — who wants mere opinions? What man creates “off the Books” with their religion — misses the mark.
Getting to Heaven is not a religious thing. No matter how good you get, religious ways will only lead you away from Jesus.
It’s quite simple, really. Man thinks they got it covered. Many like what they think — and stick to it, to the very tragic end. Scripture says,
¨There is a way
which seems right to a man,
but its end
is the way of death.”
– Proverbs 14:12
But Jesus the Godman said,
and the [real] Truth
and the [real] Life;
no one comes to the Father
but through Me.”
– John 14:6
Read: John 3:18-21
Jesus said, “I give them eternal life.” Who else can say that?…and actually give it to you? Are you following a cloud without water? Promising water but ne’er producing a drop. That’s unSatisfying!
On the other hand, Jesus IS The Living Water, the Water of Life. You will never thirst again with Jesus as Lord and Savior. 1
Why we can be confident in Jesus
We have the written Word of God. And that is why we can be confident our faith is real.
The Bible was prepared over the centuries to communicate His will. His Word is verifiable. We know with confidence where we are going when we leave this earth.
God prepared proofs for us to be able to believe in Him. Our faith in Jesus is built on solid evidences. There are more evidences that Jesus rose up from the grave — than there are that Napoleon ever lived.
Jesus established His legitimacy through eyewitness testimonies. Just as we see “the heavens declare the glory of God” (“day unto day….”), we can read the Bible and hear what God has said to us.
When on earth I’m done and gone…when all is said and done, I want to go be with Jesus. We just want to be with Jesus — where life is bliss! Being with God forever in Heaven. Believe in Jesus. THAT is the Way.
Gaining “spiritual completion and maturity” Hebrews 10:14 AMP
So, what do we need to do to be “perfected for all time”? What has God said about getting into His Heaven?
Those who have been born again are saved John 3, “perfected for all time” DLNT. You must be “perfected”.
Jesus does that for you (perfects you) in the instant when you accept Him. Jesus told us “He has perfected…” That is past tense, not future tense — so we are saved on the spot, and we go on through life — “being made holy as He cleanses us each day.
See: That Moment in Time
and also
Only my God Jesus makes me perfect in this moment
We sin continually. You know that. So, God cleanses us continually. This is said this way in 1 John 1:9 AMP as “cleanse us continually“. And it is said here in Hebrews 10:14-17 AMP as “are being sanctified” and here, “are [g– being sanctified] sanctified” NASB.
“14 For by one offering
He has perfected
for all time
the ones being made-holy.
– DLNT Disciples’ Literal New Testament
Read it in several versions… 2
Half-way to Heaven
is all the way to Hell.
How to accept Jesus
1. Approach God in prayer with sincerity and truth.
We have to start here: Being sincere, being honest.
There is no aspect of getting saved more important than this: Approach Him with sincere and honest prayer. Be totally real with Him. He sees our bare open heart.
Notice that 1 John 1:9 makes a point of this, saying:
“If we [freely] admit
that we have sinned
and confess our sins….”
Our confession goes haywire and ineffective IF we fail the honesty test, IF we refuse to admit our sin. Be honest in your heart, or your confession is rejected by God.
See: | Why God rejects anyone |
| Was your confession accepted by God? |

Excerpt from What God Wants
The Standard is set by God
I am frightened by the standard set by God for entrance into His Kingdom, into His Family.
“…strait is the gate,
and narrow is the way,
which leadeth unto life,
and few there be
that find it.….”
– Matthew 7:13-14
It is no small thing to be forgiven by God, accepted by God, made a child of God, to finally become a member of God’s family.
Salvation by Almighty God is done by Him as we give Him our all. If we do not respond by a life given-over completely to Him, then we are fooling ourselves. 3
A faith of the same kind as ours…”they were not really of us” 1 John 2:18-19
Entrance is only for “those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ” 2 Peter 1: verse 1. Are you into a faith of a different kind? That does not save you.
13 “Enter through the narrow gate.
For wide is the gate
and broad and easy to travel
is the path that leads the way to
destruction and eternal loss,
and there are many who enter through it.”
– Verse 13 of Matthew 7:13-27
Through the Bible God has shared with us specific salvation parameters. We cannot accept some, change some, and delete the rest. He has set specific parameters He absolutely requires. Do you know what they are?
2. Freely admit and confess your sins.
1 John 1:9
If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].
God will save anyone who admits sinfulness and confesses it to Him, repenting before Him. You absolutely cannot be saved otherwise. You cannot keep sin.
3. Repent. God is asking you to repent. Give it up to Him. 4
Luke 9:23 AMP
“And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross daily [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me].” *Option: Read in The Voice version: Luke 9:23
want it/be a disciple/deny myself/take up His cross/
Jesus emphasizes you must express this to Him. Tell God in prayer (as Jesus said Luke 9:23):
In this moment “If anyone wishes“ I want to be a disciple of Jesus. I deny my self by setting aside my selfish interests. I will “take up” Your cross every day, oh God, by expressing to You “a willingness to endure whatever may come”. I will make it a practice to “follow” You at all times – all of my life.
I will follow You, Jesus: by “believing in you“, by “conforming to Your example in living” Romans 12:2, by maintaining an attitude that is willing to suffer because of my faith in You, by having a willingness attitude of being ready to die for You — “because of my faith” in Jesus.
I confess – repent – reject all sin. I am accepting all that Jesus Christ is and does.
4. “Follow Me”, Jesus said.
“seek and submit to the will of God”
Develop the attitude. Luke tells us, “the attitude of the righteous …is to seek and submit to the will of God”.
Luke 1:17 “It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous [which is to seek and submit to the will of God]—in order to make ready a people [perfectly] prepared [spiritually and morally] for the Lord.”
All who accept Jesus as Savior and Lord will always experience “Followance” as a result. No exception. We all will sin and struggle against sinning, but we endure, we continue in the faith, following Jesus. We seek to be “living it deep“.
“If you’re saved and you know it,
then your life will surely show it.”
– YouTube Lyrics
Excerpt from The Godman Jesus Said “Follow Me”
Follow Me, Jesus said. See: Matthew 10:26-39 verse 38
He was no ordinary human. Jesus was the Godman: all man and all God, inside a human body.
Since God Himself asks us to “Follow Me”, why would any mere human NOT? This is Jesus who said, “Follow Me…”! Site Search
What are you thinking?! Jesus is the only one who can save your soul for all eternity!
Summary
When you “receive” Jesus
Receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior means …you consciously join your self Paralambano to Jesus. You make a lifelong commitment to not withhold obedience. With that attitude of yielding your will to Him – you repent of your sins, and ask Him to forgive you. Confessing with your mouth that you want Jesus as your Savior — you accept by faith that He has saved you, and you then endeavor to follow Him in His Way.
Excerpt from Withholding Obedience
In the original Greek the word for “receive”, as in the prayer – “I receive you Jesus as my Lord and Savior”) is Paralambano. It means “not to withhold obedience“. It means “to join to one’s self”. 5
There is a lot of vagueness in many of our English terms. But in the Greek, when you “receive” Jesus as Lord and Savior, you join yourself to Jesus; you do not withhold your obedience to Him, but rather: you follow Him wholeheartedly.
References to “receive Jesus“.
In one link or: 1 John 2:18-19, John 1:12, Mark 9:37, 1 John 5:11-12, John 16:24
Your type of “receiving” (whether it be a vague “yea, well, okay” or “paralambano”) shows up in the way you conduct your life, the way you vote, the allegiances you strike, your world view, the philosophies you extoll, the way you deal with your monies, the love you have for others, etc.
We start-out at birth without forgiveness. We are born under a sentence of condemnation. But when we receive Him for all He is and has done… then we we begin a brand new existence.
11 And the testimony is this: God has given us eternal life [we already possess it], and this life is in His Son [resulting in our spiritual completeness, and eternal companionship with Him].
12 He who has the Son [by accepting Him as Lord and Savior] has the life [that is eternal]; he who does not have the Son of God [by personal faith] does not have the life.
The Day of the Lord will come
On That Day of Judgement — the unAcceptors, the unBelievers, the Rejectors will have a really bad day. Worst ever. That Day, for them will be the most extreme horror, the ultra extreme unresolvable horror — upon arrival for Gods condemnation.
But for those of us who accept Jesus… Oh how marvelous our arrival will be.
Don’t miss it. Get saved today. This life is the only chance you get.
James 1:22
22 But prove yourselves
doers of the word
[actively and continually
obeying God’s precepts],
and not merely listeners
[who hear the word
but fail to
internalize its meaning],
deluding yourselves
[by unsound reasoning
contrary to the truth].

Accepting Jesus is absolutely required by God to see His Holy Kingdom. You there yet?

Being God Damned (in Hell) Excerpt: What will it be like to be God damned in hell?
Being God damned in hell is to be forever damned, forever without God, without joy, without happiness, devoid of God’s goodness, without any good thing (since God is good), forever doomed in gloom, defeated, beaten, always restless, never satisfied, never…
A God Damn Excerpt: Have you ever tried to grasp the deep intensity of God’s feelings against your sin? Do you know how much He hates sin?
The Damning God Excerpt: Don’t arrive before The Throne of God – and discover there that you are still merely a God damned mud-man.
I stand amazed
looking at the arrogant mud-man
shaking his puny little mud-fist
—- at God, the Potter!
At God! Ha!
What impudence.
What futility, despair, regret
The tragic error many live in all their life…and stick to it to the very end
Religion and philosophizing…Yikes, Ikes!
That sudden flash of realization saying, “Oh Damn.” Excerpt: Death, for the obstinate stiff-necked sinner
I kind of imagine that, at death, the dead obstinate stiff-necked sinner will experience a sudden flash of realization of his final destination. In the ether-like atmosphere between earth and the afterlife, he/she will gasp out, “Oh damn!”
What kind of sinner are you?
For all the unForgiven, the truth will finally come into focus and then they flop-drop into God’s Court for that final judgement. They will have a flash thought:
“That God really is a Damning God!
And here I am in front of Him.”
The ultra extreme unresolvable horror upon arrival for Gods condemnation

Salvation will cost you Excerpt: Usually we hear about how free! salvation in Christ is for us. 6 Just come as you are…. That is all true. Yes. However, we must agree with God and follow Him. THAT will cost us.
The Cost to God
Providing salvation for us cost Jesus His life. THAT cost Him. “It cost God plenty!” 1 Peter 1:18-21 MSG He came down to earth from His Glory, leaving behind His “normal”, and became a lowly human for 33 years. He allowed humans to treat Him evilly. THAT cost Him.
Accepting all that Jesus Christ is and does…receive Him for all He is and all He has done. When you accept Him He saves you on the spot
The Way to Salvation always involves obedience to Jesus…getting saved will cost you
The Man of God, the Lion, and obedience…it’s called obedience. Yes. Salvation will cost you.

Getting saved is fast. Be saved in one minute Excerpt: Yes, getting saved is fast. Takes one minute. But so is …going to Hell. Don’t let death catch you unsaved. That would ruin your day your eternity. Yikes, Ikes!
One minute away from the Kingdom of God
Salvation is immediate – not delayed until after “enduring to the end”…He saves you on the spot
Enduring to the end Excerpt: Those who are called of God will “endure to the end” and inherit eternal life, but those who are not His “elect” will not endure.
That Moment in Time Excerpt: There is a certain moment in time when everything changes, when a mere human is transformed by God into a completely different type of human. It is that life changing moment when a sinner accepts God’s free gift of forgiveness, bowing before God in repentance, acknowledging Christ as Lord of all.
That moment changes everything for that person. Nothing is the same anymore. A new creature has been born – really and truly “born again” into new life in Christ. This magic moment!
Only my God Jesus makes me perfect in this moment Excerpt: I confessed, repented, rejected sin. This very moment I am perfect. The Bible tells me so. I trust in God’s written Word.

Mark 12:28-31 28 One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, “What commandment is the foremost of all?” 29 Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord;
30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (And also: Deuteronomy 6:5, Luke 10:27).
