Could it be that only 6% of “Christians” today are actually born again? A recent poll by Barna indicates:
“Only 6% of Christians
now hold to a biblical worldview
according to Barna,
while 88% of Christians
borrow from
contradictory worldviews
for their beliefs.”
– Jan Markell: I Never Thought I Would See the Day May 26, 2021
What could possibly go wrong?
If we, in our mind and in our conduct, cannot accept the totality of what Jesus taught, then how genuinely can we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior? We cannot.
Such a non-acceptance of Jesus by us — is not within the purview (the scope) of His one-off offer! How genuinely did we repent? Well, actually repentance did not happen. Something went wrong!
Obviously there is a whole lot we do not now, nor ever will, understand. But the basics are simple. If we are working against truth, then we are working against Jesus who is the Truth. And THAT is equal to not “following” or not “believing in the Name of Jesus” at all. And thus… the 6%. Startling!
We cannot change what God started.
You have no salvation at all
That is why so many – the “but but but Jesus objectors“, will be so surprised all-to-Hell when Jesus rejects them (Matthew 25:41-46, Matthew 7:13-27, Luke 13:22-27). SO sad.
No matter how religious you are, no matter how “Christian” is your walk… Jesus will reject the “wandering stars”, those who countermand His Words, the NAR-types, and all those who do not believe the Bible and the mystery of the Gospel.
You cannot disallow God’s Words and still be following Jesus. Not happenin’.
For example: Ezekiel 13:8-9
* For a false prophet, or a false apostle to say “it’s okay if I predict this wrong“
or
* For some NAR-type pewsitter to say some “God told me…” nonsense – – when it was merely their own words…
…is to disallow or countermand God’s Words. MirWebster: “to recall or order back by a superseding contrary order“.
______________
Have you been mislead, grafted into a junk vine — instead of into the true Vine (John 15), Jesus? Verify your faith in the Bible.
An example of junk religion is the NAR type leader – all of them false prophets and false teachers. Beware the wolves in junk sheep’s clothing.
They think they outsmart God, but the reality is they are dumber than a lamb, the blind leading the blind (Matthew 15:14), claiming visions but not seeing anything, claiming to speak forth God’s actual words, but merely speaking their own words (Ezekiel 13:1-9). Can’t imagine getting so far off the track (Matthew 7:13-14).

To countermand what God said in His Old Testament… is to reject Jesus. If you reject what Jesus stood for, then you reject His one-off offer and you have no salvation at all.

Practicing Sin
Actively accepting what Jesus rejected (i.e. Contradicting Jesus)… is “practicing sin”.
Which of these “sins” in God’s Lists is acceptable for God’s Holy Kingdom?
See: | God’s List of Unacceptables |
| God’s Sin List |
| Vile to Jesus |
Answer: None of the above. We don’t get into a Holy Kingdom by being sinful. As if your mindset is protected by God!
________________
There is a difference here: Accepting sin — Repenting of sin. God is asking you to repent.
“If I regard sin and baseness in my heart
[that is,
if I know it is there
and do nothing about it],
The Lord will not hear [me];….”
– Psalm 66:18
Are you practicing sin? Is there sin you constantly practice? Have you grown accustomed to accepting [“your” sin] as okay with God? Are you okay with the practices of your life?
Scripture teaches us very clearly what is obviously …NOT following Christ. In fact, we are warned that “that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.“
If that does not give you pause and great fear… then you most certainly are not “of Christ”, for those in Christ seek Him with all of their heart (Luke 10:27).
Those who make sin
a regular, accepted part of who they are
— are not truly saved.
– Source: Practicing Sin, Not Following Christ
In the book of Revelation we are told about the Lamb’s book of life:
27 and nothing unclean,
and no one who
practices abomination and lying,
shall ever come into it,
but only those
[a who have been written]
whose names are written
in the Lamb’s book of life.
– Revelation 21:27
Heaven’s Standard Entrance
The standard for getting into Heaven is “perfection”. Jesus is The Only One who can make us “perfect” in His Heavenly Courts of Justice. If you want Heaven, well then… choose to follow Jesus.
If you are wanting to get to anywhere else BUT God’s Holy Kingdom, well then… do whatever you want to do. On the other side of life, you will discover that — “that anywhere else” is actually Hell.
Give it up if you are not “in Christ” — because only in the Perfect Lamb of God can we in turn and “be perfect” (Bible search result). Jesus paid it all — so that all of us could be redeemed. Are you?
Salvation in Christ is what it is. God has shared His Way with us. It is not “whatever you make it to be“. Salvation is not something you make up for your own convenience.
Are you saved by God? Or are you hoping your own way will be good enough?

A mind committed to Jesus
Isaiah 26:3 Amplified version:
“You will keep in [a]perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both [b]inclination and character], Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].
KJV version: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
When we accept Jesus (i.e. we repent and follow Him) we of course do not know it all, but in that moment we submit our mind to Him 100% (and, as Luke said, we submit all the rest of who we are). And He begins to mold us into His image.
“You shall love the Lord your God”
“For it is [not your strength, but it is] [a]God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.” – Philippians 2:13 1
Hebrews 4: verses 1-2
“Therefore, we must fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also did; but the word [a]they heard did not benefit them, because [b- One early ms it was not united with faith in those who heard]they were not united with those who listened with faith.”
Maybe it’s appropriate now to re-examine your faith. You think? Compare your convictions and pet beliefs, with what is found in Scripture.
