Your Lifestyle… is what you do day in and day out. Jesus warned us to not be dishonest with Him. Read: Sincerity and Truth 1. If you choose to accept Jesus as your Savior, then follow Him with all that you are. Following Him is the natural thing to do — if you were actually […]
Following Jesus is not fascism
Jesus was not a fascist, and neither are His followers. Of course some fakes, the fake faith so-called Christian types may be whatever catches their fancy, but not any genuine Christian (absolutely none). Christian theology and practice in America today is somewhere very far from the fascism spectrum. This should be obvious to the world, […]
Re-starting life
Ever felt that “impending doom” when your computer suddenly got a black screen!? Ever call on The Computer Guy to reset? I remember those days. Turning to God is like re-starting. It’s like punching “Reset”. Immediately what’s “current” disappears, and I start over brand new, with no pending doom. Turning to God is – accepting […]
Take Jesus’ Challenge
What is your response to this challenge from the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Here is the challenge:
1 John 3:9
1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again —who is reborn from above —spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is […]
Agreeing with God
Salvation is one sinner agreeing with God. No holding back.
The Fool Says
So, what kind of fool are you…? Remember the popular song saying this? “What kind of fool do you think I am?”
Oh How Marvelous
Marvelous grace. To a sinner, what else could be so marvelous? God’s grace, that “un-merited” bestowing of a blessing on me. Just because of Him. Just because He chooses to do so within His Heavenly legal system.
Born Again. Reborn from above
Getting “born again” is found in several references in the Bible. Jesus Himself said, “You must be born again.” Have you?
Ready to lose it?
Are you ready to lose your soul today – forever? Job 27:8 puts it well: ““For what is the hope of the godless, even though he has gained [in this world], When God takes his life?
I live with confidence
Featured Image: Missionary in 1950’s Peruvian Andes …serving Quechua people with confidence Excerpt from: Before a good cup a’ Joe John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name His Courts declare me: born again. Set free. […]
Before a good cup a Joe
I don’t do frenetic. I don’t do worry. I don’t let it in. I don’t start my day all out of kilter, out of whack. I refuse to stumble into my day. I start most every day something like this: I get on up and get on High. I’m lifted up. I start my day with God in prayer – just me and God in the cavern of my head. Creator God is everywhere. Nowhere that He’s not. And He’s in my head. He knows my thoughts. My thoughts, an open gateway to my soul, for God. I think my thoughts to Him “in prayer”. No one hears me, but God Himself. He even knows what I’m about to say. Oh mysterious, sacred Spirit that lives inside my eternal soul!
The Holy Spirit in You?
When we accept Christ, the whole universe becomes our family domain! We become a child of Creator God. Our new life, spirit and soul, begins eternal life as the Holy Spirit of God, part of the “three in one” mysterious Triune God, takes up residence in our body.
You thought that I was just like you
“You thought that I was just like you.” – Psalm 50: verse 21 It all seems so right. God must be just fine with who I am and all I do. A few things might not be right, but God will “get over it” just like I do with things I don’t like. Right? Well, […]
Virgins, Talents, and Judgement
Do you know that grace and mercy were legalized in Heaven, made specifically for us? His amazing grace and mercy give us forgiveness — forever. Wow!
The Gospel of Jesus Christ
Know the many Bible verses that share the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. There is no other saving gospel.
A God Damn
Have you ever tried to grasp the deep intensity of God’s feelings against your sin? Do you know how much He hates sin?
Through Grace and Sheer Mercy
Martin Luther was the one who first expressed it like this: “…I grasped that the righteousness of God is that righteousness by which through grace and sheer mercy God justifies us through faith.” Sheer mercy!
Enlightened Folks
Are you one of those? The many “enlightened” folks who have tasted what God does in Christians, maybe even liked it… but you haven’t really yielded to God, you haven’t truly choosen to follow Him? Have you fallen away?
Practicing Sin, Not Following Christ
Are you practicing sin? Is there sin you constantly practice? Have you grown accustomed to accepting [“your” sin] as okay with God? Are you okay with the practices of your life? Scripture teaches us very clearly what is obviously …NOT following Christ. In fact, we are warned that “that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” You are not following Christ if this is characteristic of you: Galatians 5:16-21.
Children of God
A common misconception out there is that, since God created us all – then all of us are his children, “children of God”. Nothing could be further from the truth, actually. The normal human is actually born into a state of separation from God. Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of […]
Matthew 7:21-23
Works. Sincerity. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out […]
Getting Born Again
Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” In God’s legal system, all of mankind is condemned to hell because we are naturally unable to be holy [“holy” = without sin]. He cannot have sin in His Kingdom. Makes sense: He is holy! His choice – because of His nature. However, He loved us so much that He provided legal forgiveness for any who choose to follow Him. Quite simple, actually.
Sonship
I thank God Almighty a million x a million-million-million (to the 10th power) for granting me sonship in His forever family. Do you? Think about it. I am bound for a heavenly home. I am so grateful. According to Jesus’ gospel, I stand before you, and God, and all His angels all around me, with a decree by God Himself, sealed in His Book of Life, granting me eternal, un-revokable status in His Kingdom —— as His own child.
Ese Momento Preciso
English version: That Moment in Time Hay un momento preciso en el tiempo cuando todo cambia, cuando un simple ser humano es trasformado por Dios en una clase humana completamente diferente. Es ese momento de cambio cuando el pecador acepta el regalo de Dios de perdón, sometiéndose ante Dios en arrepentimiento, reconociendo a Cristo como […]
Losing My Soul
Are you ready to loose your soul – forever? Look to Jesus. Jesus saves repentant sinners.
Writing About Religion
-commentary about the March 11, 2016 article, How Christianity explains Trump, by writer Pascal-Emmanuel Gobry. Very interesting how major writers write about religion in our country. I am always interested when they write about my faith, to see if they get it right. Some really get it wrong. They write as if they know what the […]
Jesus Saved Me
Because I have been born-again, transformed into a new creation, I am not a mere human, but rather — a brand new type of creation of God. I hope you also have been born again, re-created by God. You can be if you respond to God. It’s not too late… till it’s too late.
Prove Me Wrong
The plan of God for the ages has been shown to us in the God-inspired writings collected into the book called the Bible. If we draw near, if we read for ourselves, if we examine the truths therein — it is then clear what God has been doing throughout the history of mankind, and we […]
Losing It
Our hope is always ever in Christ, never in our strength, never in our abilities, never in our own self. Always – our hope is in the One who changed us for His purposes. My salvation does not rest in me. God has me in His hands, and His hands are strong. And He will never let us go. That is why I am not afraid.
